Amazon bestselling and multi-award-winning author Janina Rossiter brings her passions together in her work: painting and illustrating children's books.

As an illustrator and author, Janina was inspired to write "Diamonds, Hearts & Sea Stars!" and "123 Who’s Cleaning the Sea?" because of her concern for our environment. She is passionate about fighting climate change, protecting nature, and keeping the oceans free from plastic and other pollutants. Education is the key to understanding how each of us can make a difference. Our future depends on our actions

Janina created the illustrations for Blue Ocean Watch video ‘The Song of Life’ relating to sound pollution affecting whales.

As an artist, she feels happiest when recreating images of the ocean in her paintings. “I hope that through my art and my love of the sea, I can make my voice heard and make a difference."

With the arrival of her first daughter, Janina's love for painting and drawing found a new lease on life and, before long, she combined her passion for illustration with the wonderfully inspiring world of children. Today she works as a freelance packaging designer, artist, illustrator and children's book author. She enjoys the creative energy of Paris, where she lives with her English husband and her two daughters.

Since 2014 Janina Rossiter has written and illustrated 9 picture books in the series Tovi the Penguin (TTP).

Janina Rossiter was invited to collaborate with Dulwich College (Singapore) with our Year 2 and Year 4 children, they were in awe of her work which linked well with their learning of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Due to the impact of Covid-19 this was conducted as a virtual artist residency, with video links and presentations. Janina was very thorough with the resources she provided and flexible with the project as it developed. Our children filmed questions to ask which Janina answered with lots of visuals and age appropriate explanations. As a virtual residency it was incredibly successful, the outcomes from the project were really high quality and I couldn't recommend enough working with Janina!

Janina Rossiter has been invited to speak at the Lennen Bilingual School a number of times over the last few years, with each visit a great success!
