I liked that he had low self-esteem due to his injuries because it made him seem more real to me. I wish that there were more books out there touching on these topics.     'Two Hearts Undone' was written as a short story for a contest and not meant to be a tease to get the reader to read the rest of Mel and Steve's story.

    Mel and Steve work together after both of them have lost their partners. Steve's wife to cancer and Mel's fiancé to the war in Iraq and this short story takes place after they have worked in the same facility for a couple of years.

    I liked that they were both mature professional people and after working through their issues they have an open discussion about their feelings for each other as they come together to start a new relationship. The emotions were strong, controlled and appropriate as they shared how much they had in common. I hope the author will write the rest of their story,

    I enjoyed reading about Mel and Steve admitting they had feelings for each other after all this time. They had both suffered lot great loss that changed their lives. I would like to learn more about them and Ben the little by they both care about.
