Reviews for Take Me, I’m Yours
On this occasion we’re not the Scottish Highlands but on the shores of Lake Michigan and I have to say the backdrop is just as atmospheric. Both India and Logan have formed strong family bonds - he with grandfather John and she with great aunt Elspeth – both having had parents who put their own needs before their own children – Reading Queen
I must admit it was the Wisconsin setting that first drew me to this novel. I’ve never been to this part of the world, and I looked forward to discovering more about it. I wasn’t disappointed, and I was glad I picked up this book. A fab read that I highly recommend! Eilish
I even loved the ‘second chance love’ affair between the two oldies. Just goes to show that you’re never too old to fall in love. Emily Jane Hitchings
There’s a perfect sense of place about this book, the Wisconsin setting brought to life with some wonderfully vivid descriptions – the Buchanan property, the dilapidated lighthouse, the landing – and a real feel for the small-town community where everyone is more involved in everyone else’s business than their own. Welsh Annie
I was hooked from the moment India picked up the monkey wrench, determined to defend herself, if necessary, from the bullying Logan - and I did not want to put it down. I thought all of the characters were totally believable, and the plot twists and turns kept me reading, long into the night. DJM

INDIE CHAMPION 2023 - ROMANTIC NOVELISTS' ASSOCIATION
Hello, I am Lizzie. Writing allows me to celebrate everything I love about my homeland, Scotland, and share those feelings with my readers. I spend summers with my husband touring Scotland in our caravan, researching my next novel, writing, and avoiding the midges. I enjoy imagining the moment when the hero heroine fall in love. The pursuit of the hero-in-a-kilt motivates me to sit front of the computer each day and I have published eight novels: Tall, and Kilted, Scotch on the Rocks, Girl in the Castle, Harper’s Highland Fling Dark Highland Skies its sequel Winter Star in the Scottish Highlands, Boot Camp Bride, and Take Me, I'm Yours. All my novels are available on Kindle Unlimited and as paperbacks. I am currently working on a Christmas novella for 2025 my ninth novel, Holding Out for a Hero. I organise the Leicester Chapter of the Romantic Novelists’ Association and present workshops on indie publishing to new writers. My feel-good/uplifting novels would be very happy to sit alongside those of Jilly Cooper, Jenny Colgan, Jill Mansell, and Carole Matthews on your bookshelf.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2018Loved reading this book! I fell in love with the characters and their hilarious interactions. The Midwest references - Chicago and Wisconsin - were a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend this book if you're looking for a page turner!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2018Lizzie Lamb has done it again! A pacy read that is full of emotional tension. And what a super romantic hero is Logan Macfarlane, no wonder India finds him irresistible. But as with all true love, there are obstacles and misunderstandings to overcome, not to mention a bitter family feud. Written in the author’s own inimitable style, with humour, warmth and sensitivity, I found it a hugely enjoyable read and would highly recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2019This story integrated Wisconsin, Scotland, and English cultures into a romantic mix. Two generations of star-crossed lovers makes for a fun read that keeps you wondering if love will conquer all.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2019I'm a big fan of Lizzie Lamb. My only comment on this book is that being English apparently, her dialogue between 2 Americans is a little off sometimes. I think she referred to "the boot" one time which I know what that means but it's not an American term. I like her Scotland books better but it was a good story. I would definitely recommend it to friends.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2018Another sweet romance from Lizzy Lamb! Like her other books this has just the right amount of steam. It keeps the book full of longing and passion without being raunchy. And, for extra fun, this one's set in Wisconsin!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2018I admittedly don’t read a ton of contemporary romance, but Take Me, I’m Yours, immediately drew me in with the vivid descriptions of Wisconsin. There was a real feeling to this small town community where everyone knows everyone’s business.
Lizzie Lamb has created two complex and relatable characters in India and Logan. She has crafted a beautiful love story full of twists and turns, with two characters with difficult histories and family drama. I love the dialogue between the two. There is this push and pull with them that really had me hooked.
For anyone who loves the contemporary romance genre, or like me, anyone that is trying to broaden their horizons, I definitely recommend Take Me, I’m Yours.
*I received this book as part of a blog tour. All opinions are my own.*
- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2024"Take Me, I'm Yours" is a heartwarming and engaging novel that explores the complexities of family dynamics, love, and redemption. Set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Michigan, the story follows India Buchanan as she endeavors to establish a bed and breakfast in her great-aunt's home, MacFarlane Landing.
The author masterfully weaves a narrative that is both atmospheric and character-driven, with vivid descriptions of the Wisconsin setting and a strong sense of small-town community. The characters are well-developed and relatable, with India and Logan's tumultuous relationship at the forefront.
What resonates most is the exploration of family bonds, past secrets, and the power of love to overcome even the most deep-seated differences. The supporting cast, including India's great-aunt Elspeth and Logan's grandfather John, adds depth and warmth to the story.
I was drawn into the world of MacFarlane Landing, invested in India and Logan's journey, and touched by the poignant portrayal of second-chance love between the older characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 & I absolutely loved it. Although it is a Wisconsin love story ...
Lizzie Lamb has done it again....this is her romantic novel no.5 & I absolutely loved it. Although it is a Wisconsin love story the two main characters have Scottish ancestors & there are many references to things Scottish. As the story unfolds Lizzie, once again, demonstrates what a superb novelist she is. I engaged with all the characters & as always loved the evocative scenic descriptions. I was captivated with this book & put my life on hold for a couple of days as I read it. When the story ended once again Lizzie had me in tears, I swiped to the last page not expecting The End......"Oh no Lizzie not yet" I cried out loud, I wanted more. So now I wait with eager anticipation for no.6. Thank you so much Lizzie Lamb, I am your biggest fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sparkling dialogue and sizzling passion
Another winner from Lizzie Lamb. Despite taking us away from her usual setting of Scotland, Lizzie nevertheless manages to weave her magic as she brings us this passionate story of love, land, family feuds and sizzling sexual attraction.
India Buchanan has arrived at her family home of MacFarlane's Landing, having left her well-paid job behind to take on a new challenge. With her great-aunt ill, someone needs to protect the house from those pesky MacFarlane varmints, as they are determined to win back the property that originally belonged to them. India has plans of her own for the place, and has no intention of letting a MacFarlane anywhere near.
What she didn't count on was meeting the powerful, gorgeous and ultra-sexy Logan MacFarlane, who is just as determined that he will win the house back for his own family.
To say sparks fly between the two of them is an understatement, and doesn't really do justice to this story. This is a real romance novel, and with the witty repartee and verbal squash game going on between the two main characters, it did remind me rather of an old Cary Grant/Katherine Hepburn movie - but with a lot more passion.
The sexual tension between India and Logan is palpable, and I was just longing for them to admit how they felt about each other.
With a setting that's beautifully described, a great supporting cast, and a genuine conflict at the heart of the story, this is far more than just a will-they-won't-they novel.
I was worried I would miss Scotland, but Lizzie has proved herself capable of taking her readers anywhere she wants them to go. I won't worry again. Set your next novel wherever you like, Ms Lamb. I'll happily go along for the ride!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great story!
Take all of Lizzie Lamb's trademark features: a (borderline) sassy heroine, who can stand on her own two feet (and boy, doesn't she like to prove it), but deep inside believes in love and romance; a tall, dark, albeit not kilted this time, hero with a heart of gold and a bad reputation; a set of 'minor' characters that are so beautifully drawn to become a second set of major characters of their own. Transport them in the beautiful surroundings of Door County, Wisconsin and be ready for 19 chapters of pure escapism where witty, ironic dialogues mix skilfully with top romance.
I fell in love with Scotland reading Lizzie's books, and now with Wisconsin, too!
Fabulous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Immensley well fleshed out characters, amazingly, credible surrounding scenes.
First time read for me by author Lizzie Lamb. What drew me to Take Me I’m Yours was the wonderful captivating opening chapter written in third person, which I like. I was transported into the brilliantly written setting without even noticing I was reading and not actually there at Macfarlanes Landing, in Wilconsin. Immediately the author had me concerned for India Buchanan, a beautiful fiery lady, who shields her fear from her unexpected guest Logan Macfarlane roaring up on a motorbike in his hot! hot! leathers. It soon becomes clear that an ongoing family feud, is the reason for his visit and the start of a battle between to equally stubborn families’ is inevitable.
Each have their own convictions; India, because she is determined to restore the house to its former glory, left to her by her aunt, and open the doors as a tasteful guest house in hope of her aunt returning after an illness. And Logan because the Macfarlanes lost the house to the Buchannans and he wants it back for his grandfather.
Sexual chemistry between them adds to the dilemma. But I don’t want to give too much away!
The immensely well fleshed out characters and great dialogue, glides you through this wonderful tale as the story unfolds with the all-important help of some well-crafted background characters.
I can’t say I’ve ever experienced such amazingly, credible scenes and surroundings with such skill in any other novel I’ve read. If you enjoy contemporary romance with lots of twists and turns, give it a go!! You won’t be disappointed by this talented author

5.0 out of 5 stars Sizzles with sexual tension & conflict
Almost from the first word, this novel fairly sizzles with sexual tension as well as conflict between the two protagonists, India Buchanan and Logan McFarlane and is a brilliant example for any would-be writer. Set in present day Wisconsin, in the US, India and Logan are the last descendants from a long-standing feud between the two families over what both see as their rightful homestead. India wants to turn her great-aunt’s Elspeth house into an up-market bed and breakfast business while Logan wants the house back for his ailing grandfather, John McFarlane. Both India and Logan are products of their own upbringing which impacts on their relationship and takes until almost the end of the book for their differences to be resolved. I think this is one of the best books that Ms Lamb has written and shows her increased writing maturity.
