Taken For A Ride: Business from beyond the grave Kindle Edition
What if the ghosts of the past refused to stay hidden?
At Brenford Park, the ghost ride is more than a crumbling relic—it’s a place steeped in history, secrets, and an eerie allure no modernisation can erase. For Angus Crumoch, the ride is a link to his family’s legacy and a haunting reminder of sacrifices made to keep it standing. But when the relentless Julia Brodie plans to demolish the ride to make way for sleek new attractions, Angus and his fiery niece Lotty must fight to preserve what little remains of a bygone era.
As tensions rise and hidden truths come to light, the ride’s unsettling magic stirs. What begins as a battle over heritage soon unravels into a gripping struggle between the living, the dead, and the forces neither can fully control.
Dark, thrilling, and brimming with heart, this is a tale of love, legacy, and the unbreakable bonds that defy time. Perfect for fans of action-packed mysteries with a supernatural twist, Taken For A Ride delivers gripping thrills, heartfelt sacrifices, and a poignant exploration of the ties that bind us to history and family. If you love The Night Circus or The House of Secrets, this is your next unmissable read.

About the author

Simon Stanton fell in love with stories at an early age, reading and writing science fiction. Despite the best efforts of parents and teachers to broaden his horizons, Simon remained obsessed with sci-fi. Teaching himself to touch type so he could get his thoughts on paper quicker, Simon wrote shorts stories, ideas for bigger works, and finally his first novel-length work - a piece which remains safely locked away. Then he stopped writing, and after a thirty-year hiatus (which not even he can adequately explain) he began writing again, first short stories and then his first proper novel, A Mind To Kill, published on Amazon. This book, the first in The Psiclone Series, is now followed by the second book, Force Of Mind, the third, The Psiclone Project, the fourth book, Power In Mind, and now the fifth and final novel in the Psiclone series, Final Mind.
Simon lives in West Yorkshire, UK, and balances his writing with home life, a job in project management, and his practise of Aikido (a Japanese martial art.)
