    I really enjoyed the back and forth Bowen & Paisley had. It's a great mix of being goofy mixed with flirtation, mixed with being comfortable around someone. I love the charm of Bowen. Although the rodeo's never been my thing I can see the adrenalin pull of it. It was interesting to find out new things about the rodeo. I love that Elle develops multiple stories that play off each other & all the characters. I've read 100's of books where I wish they would of dived more into one character or another's story too. she does that. so if you enjoy Bowden & Paisley's story try ride dirty cowboy & read up on Addie, Sunny & Kai.Or sexy dirty cowboy & Rem & Whitney. I'm not sure which one is my favorite. Each has their own distinct personality & playfulness about their relationship. Bowden maybe with Rem as a close second but Kai's really great too. Which one's your favorite?

    Talk Dirty, Cowboy is Book 1 in Elle Thorpe's new Dirty Cowboy series. It is the story of widowed rodeo cowboy and single father, Bowen, and single mom, Paisley.

    I really liked the progression of Paisley and Bowen's relationship, their banter, and how they seemed to fit together like missing puzzle pieces. They each have their faults and issues, and they both seem to (unknowingly?) allow the past to dictate their present and, possibly, their future.

    I really disliked Paisley's ex-husband, and this would have been a solid 5 stars for me had there been some sort of push back on him for his treatment of Paisley and the kids. I am confused by how he was able to get away with the things he did, and I wanted Paisley to be a little bit stronger in this situation. In addition, I would have enjoyed a bit more interaction with the kids (who seemed to have become an afterthought midway through the book). I'm trying to be as spoiler free as possible.

    I'm a fan of these rodeo cowboys (Bowen and his friends). I love the way they interact and how Thorpe gives the reader a brief glance in to each of their lives and personalities. It definitely makes me want more of this series!

    Overall, I very much enjoyed this book. It was the right combination of sweet and sexy, with fun and interesting supporting characters.

    I was already looking forward to Book 2, but after that ending...release day can't get here fast enough!

    Yet another win in my book for Elle Thorpe. I honestly don’t think this woman has written a single thing I haven’t loved.

    I’m not always a fan of cowboy/small town books, but I needed a breather from my latest dark fantasy binge and thought it might be the perfect opposite, and it was!

    Paisley is both a little broken and a little confident, and it’s so relatable you can’t help but fall in love with her right away. Add the fact that she’s doing everything she can to survive her weasel of an ex and keep her kids as happy as she can and I was sold on her from the start.

    Bowen’s entrance to the story begins so tragically, you can’t help but feel for him in your heart. Throw in some cowboy charm, a little dirty talking, and a lot of trying to be the best dad he can be in his chaotic life as a bull rider and you’ve got a MMC that could win over just about anybody.

    Put them together though? Whew, you’ve got a flirty, spicy, super sweet couple with a little bit of drama added to keep you turning pages until the end.

    Also need to add that I really loved the side characters. They were very present without being overwhelming and did nothing but add to the story. The banter and relationships formed between everyone we meet is great and one of the reasons I’ll probably be bingeing the rest of the series right after this.

    Loved this. Reminds me a lot of Nicholas Sparks’s “Longest Ride” in some ways.

    Paisley meets Bowen when her son leaves a computer console on and they off to a rocky start. With a few more meetings they grow to forgive a blossoming romance. As ever life gets in the way and both have baggage that has to be dealt with.

    This was really feel good, not too much drama romance. I loved it. I loved the added bull riding subject matter. It was really heartfelt and the love scenes were pretty hot. Man that man has a filthy mouth 🤣
