Omega Teacher's Baby (A Men of Meadowfall Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 692 ratings

Divorced and shamed for his infertility, Professor Dale Kinney has spent the past ten years proving his worth: by building a solid research lab in his field. With his tenure two years away, everything's finally going right... except he also has a secret.
Dale has a crush on his student—Greg Hastings. Sweet, straight-A alpha, and also the college president's son. Greg has been asking Dale out for coffee since semester began. And it's been taking all of Dale's self-control to turn him down.
When Greg stumbles on Professor Kinney in heat, the spark between them explodes into an inferno. And despite countless failed attempts at pregnancy... Dale conceives. Dale refuses to abort the child. Greg refuses to abandon this omega. With the pregnancy an increasingly difficult secret to keep, will their slow-burning love cauterize their wounds, or burn them down?

Omega Teacher's Baby is a steamy 100,000-word May/Dec Teacher/Student romance, with paper cranes, rabbit onesies and a young alpha who wants to stay by his omega no matter what. There is no cheating, no cliffhangers, but definitely a happily ever after.

Hello! Thank you for wondering about me; I'm a funny, sausage-loving goofball with a surprisingly tolerant husband (his ghost, now!) When I'm not busy writing (which is very rare), I haunt grocery stores and stuff my freezer with my favorite food.

I've been scribbling since I was fourteen, and I believe that everyone needs a safe place. My dorky guys fall in deep, devoted love, the way Huz showed me a person can be loved, and every book is guaranteed to end in a HEA.

Omega Teacher's Baby is the second book in the Men of Meadowfall series by Anna Wineheart. I first read about Professor Dale Kinney and Greg Hastings in a short story called Teacher in Heat during a professor/student short story promotion event through instafreebie. I fell in love with both characters and wanted to know what happened to them after their first taboo encounter. And it was like the author heard my cry for more because she took the story I loved and made it into a full-length novel and answered all of my questions about what happened and if they got their happy ending. And all I have to say is the book was hot, hot, hot. It pushed all of my happy buttons with some of my favorite tropes. I have always loved the taboo teacher/student books and then to throw in an older/younger theme as well. And not the typical older/younger theme where the alpha is the older and the omega is the younger but the other way around which was a great treat and made it even more taboo and gave it a cougar vibe. I loved the book, and I can't wait to read more books by Anna Wineheart. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I bought a copy because I loved it that much.

I loved this book. Two broken souls, that happened in very different ways , but together they find peace, healing, and comfort of they could get past self doubts. The storyline was excellent and flowed so beautifully. The characters, including the supporting ones, we're so well developed. This book made me cry; I felt every emotion. But Dale at times made me want to shake some sense into him; I was so glad when he finally realized what Greg meant to him.

This series is set in another universe where there is no discrimination due to sexuality, men/men, women/women, men/ omen whatever configuration is accepted and both men and women can have babies. But there is another level of discrimination going on here only omegas can have babies and only alphas can give them babies. Also alphas are top of the social ladder and omegas are lower. Betas are somewhere in between and can only mate with other betas and must adopt if they want children. Anyone can aspire to any job but it takes omegas longer to get tenure or permanent status in jobs. Unmated omegas are seen as less valuable, and infertility a stigma to some and divorce is a real faux pas.
In this story the fact that our professor is an omega finds him waiting an extra 2 years to earn his tenure, he’s also divorced because he did not conceive in three years and his alpha got their marriage annulled. Then along comes his new alpha not only is he twenty years younger, reckless, but he is the college president’s son. The college president is wrapped in status and his colleges success that he finds his sons choice of omega unacceptable and of course it breaks a major rule at the college Professors cannot sleep with students. It’s a long hard road for our mates to make it to the altar. But never fear there is a happy ending.

I'm not a huge fan of the student/teacher trope but there were parts of this book that I really enjoyed. I think the last quarter was the best. Things came to a head and I really liked how Dale and Greg responded. So much so that I was cheering for their HEA.

This second book in the Men of Meadowfall series can be read as standalone, but I strongly recommend to read it as part of the series, just to indulge yourself. Dale and Greg's story is one of the best age-gap stories I've ever read in the omegaverse. I enjoyed everything in this book, the characters, their dialogues and interactions, the emotions, how they took their decisions and finally how they accepted their love against all the obstacles in their path and got their HEA. An easy to read, low angst, love story so perfect to spend a nice time while reading it. Wonderful reading!!

This one was hard for me to rate. I liked the book and thought the characters were well drawn and sympathetic. My only complaint is that it was really long and rehashed the same emotions over and over and over again. 20,000 words could have easily been cut from this and it would have been a stronger book for it. Having said that, I still enjoyed it and read to the end to get my HEA. The writing was nice, the characters sweet, and the resolution satisfying. This was a new-to-me author and I would try her again.

This was a nice second chance book where Dale a 42 year old infertile omega professor gets a baby surprise after sleeping with Greg his 22 year old student.

Interesting complications because Greg is the college president’s son and Dale is up for tenure.

Loved the love story. Really scary reunion.

I read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this story. Dale has been through so much in his years as an omega. He is a professor now and works harder than ever due to his status. Greg is twenty years his junior but also an alpha. Greg is determined to disobey his parents wishes and follow his heart. Dale is determined to never let the past repeat itself and ignores all of Greg's flirting, until he can't. Dale's heat and a little lust override sanity. Can the two make it work? Will Greg's family win? Will Dale push Greg away and forego his second chance? Grab this one now to find out.

An extremely well written book that will bring the characters to life and make you feel like you know them. It will make you cheer them on in one chapter and cry with them in the next as their world falls apart before bringing you to a heart warming conclusion.

I think this book had a lot of potential. There were some definite steamy moments between Dale and Greg and I loved that Greg really stepped up to the plate. He was so supportive and determined to make Dale see how they could work, despite how awful his father was towards Dale. The reason I've only given this 3 stars is, unfortunately, Dale as a character frustrated me so much. Yes, there was an age difference and he was Greg's professor - but he brought it up constantly, even after the pregnancy! If it was really such an issue for him, nothing would have ever happened. Also, the fact that he basically shut Greg out for months (through no fault of Greg himself) annoyed me and I struggled to sympathise with him when he seemed to just be acting like an idiot. Greg was actually much more mature and wasn't given anywhere near enough credit.

Overall, it's a story that had lots of potential and is still a good read. Sadly, it's just not for me.
