The Aliens' Mate: A Gay Monster Romance with Aliens who Share Kindle Edition
Luc Martin was abducted by aliens over a month ago and has been stuck in a cage on a spaceship with three women ever since. On either side of their cell are two alien prisoners who both seem to have a thing to staring at Luc. Oh and everyone’s naked.
Then comes the moment when escape is possible, and Luc makes the decision to free Bolaico and Teranu in the hopes that they know how to do more in outer space than he does. And boy do they! A fight through the ship, stealing a shuttle, and crash landing on a strange planet get the group of five away from their abductors…but now what?
Following through on the idea that Luc could be the aliens’ thank you gift for all their help sees him giving into desires up in a tree and in a hot springs pool inside a cave. As time passes, and despite a language barrier with both aliens, Luc discovers he’s begun to care about his aliens. But do they feel the same?
When their captors track them down and force a confrontation that includes the native population on this planet, their futures will be decided by the choices that they make. When Luc’s aliens have the chance to return to their lives, where does he fit in?

- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2021If anyone can take alien abduction and make it both sexy and realistic, it's going to be Delaney Rain. They have an absolute gift for taking kitschy subjects, like aliens and Bigfoot and tentacles, and weaving incredibly detailed and enchanting stories. I've loved all of their previous books and this one was no exception. One of the best parts is the author's ability to create real connections between the characters - both human and paranormal alike. It's very easy to become invested in what the characters are experiencing and to want them all to get their HEA. I really highly recommend this book and hope that everyone gives if a try. Even if you think that an alien abduction romance might be silly or over the top, I can guarantee that this book can change your mind. There's spunky humans, courageous aliens, witty banter, alien tigers, and hot springs sex that is just plain 🔥🔥🔥 Read it!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2022Lucian, “Luc”, is kidnapped by aliens along with three earth women. They are held captive on a space ship along with two other aliens, who seem to be attracted to Luc, even though he can't understand anything they say. When an opportunity to escape presents itself, the aliens prove quite useful in freeing Luc and the other humans, and getting them off the ship. They all survive a crash landing on a nearby planet, and Luc gets attracted to them more and more. It's only a matter of time before he gives into his curiosity about what might happen with the aliens, but is it just sex, or something more?
“The Aliens' Mate” is a sexy and ever-so-slightly silly kidnapped-by-aliens tale. Luc is a very likeable character, even if he is probably painted as a rather cliché young gay man; flirty and perhaps a little slutty, without much in the way of survival skills. He is not, however, without a healthy amount of self-awareness. Luc doesn't enter into relationships lightly, and frequently expresses his doubts about where things with the two aliens will lead.
We only get to know the two aliens through Luc's impression of them. For most of the story, their thoughts and feelings are unknown, since Luc can't communicate with them. Still, the conclusions he draws about them prove to be fairly accurate. We get to know the three women a bit better over the course of the story. ALthough supporting characters, they're still very well defined, each with their own distinct personalities, that provide some of the drama to the tale.
The book doesn't spend a lot of time world-building, but we still get a good picture of the possible universe in which it takes place.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2021OK so I just love everything I read from this author. Funny, sexy, well written monster/human romance, and I'm so so here for it!
Luc, along with three women from Earth, were abducted and were being held prisoner. When they have the chance to escape they take it, but Luc is also insistent on freeing the two aliens who are also being held captive. Together, the group escape and make it to a planet.
Luckily for the humans, the two aliens really help them survive, along with some adorable alien tigers. I loved the vivid world building in this, really fun!
And can we talk about how fun and sexy Luc's mates are? Both different and "alien" but totally compatible with Luc. I loved them. I really love how we got to see how they communicated and worked together just through Luc's eyes, since there is a language barrier to deal with at the start.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2024This was such a sweet story. I was concerned about the communication barrier between the characters as the story went on, but I think there was still a lot of relationship development among the characters. I loved all three romantic leads even with narration happening from only one of their prospective. This was a bit alien romance. I would definitely recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2022I've loved all of the previous books in this series and, although The Sea Monster's Mate is still my favorite because, duh, talking baby squid, this one is no exception. Luc was such a great sympathetic and unapologetic character, and the other characters were engaging. Balaico was tough/tender and Teranu was intelligent/loving. How could you go wrong? The author has such a wonderful imagination and the descriptions of each of the different situations were well done. I especially liked the tigers. The author is also very good at interjecting humor in the situations even with danger is present. This story was exciting and fun and I read it in one sitting and hated for it to end, which is, for me, the best indication of a good book. Can't wait for the next one. I am disappointed, though, that we have to sign up for the author's mailing list to get the short stories but, hopefully, maybe the author will publish them in a single volume for sale at some point. I would definitely buy it.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2022I liked that the aliens were truly alien alien not just humans with different markings. I found this entertaining and fun. There are details missing that I would have liked to know, but the story didn’t suffer for the lack. Luc was a great main character but I liked the supporting ones as well. I will definitely check out more from this author!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2025I didn't even realize it was 2 aliens until a few chapters in and I swear the book just kept getting better and better especially when u go get the short story after it's makes it perfect 10/10 loved it

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!
It was so much fun! A great balance between the stress of being abducted with the expected language barrier and the wonder of a new land with new animals to pet and new friends made along the way 🧡

Not my fav ending but all the rest of the book was nice! It has a lot of potential. Though I’m not super convinced with the insta-love but well, it may be that fast burn is not my thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars So good!
Eu amei a história!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Alien Romance I have ever read! An amazingly enjoyable read!
I really loved this story. It's the best bl alien romance I have ever read.
The characters are very cute.
The storyline was surprisingly interesting and I enjoyed the read very much.
PS: I was really impressed how well done the MMM aspect was. I usually dislike relationship with multiple partners because the dynamic is usually so off that it feels either forced or obe character feels like the additional wheel.
But Delaney Rain really managed the MMM aspect.
PSS: The world building was great! I would not mind another book from this world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Polyamorous gay alien romance
My first time reading this author and I loved it. Lately, so many alien romances I have read have been very samey, but this one felt fresh and different. It did start with the usual trope of a human being abducted from earth and imprisoned on an alien spaceship. However, this time our human abductee is a young gay man. He finds himself naked in a prison cell together with three other women who have been abducted from earth too.
Separated by a forcefield are other alien prisoners, both of whom show a marked sexual interest in our hero. When a chance comes to escape, the humans and two aliens band together to steal a shuttle only to crash land on an alien planet...
This novella, only 135 pages long, was a quick and delightful read. I liked the characterisation, the steamy scenes were indeed steamy, and the romance between the three main protagonists was sweet. A lovely dose of low angst escapism.
