We already knew that Lux was a caregiver from The Shake Off, always there to feed the guys, helping them with lady problems, an amazing friend. Lux knows Radley has gone through some trauma in her life, and the way he is with her is so sweet, and romantic, giving her the space she needs to feel safe and comfortable with him is really special. I love that she made the first move "I didn't know someone could taste like happiness, but that is exactly what it was when my lips pressed into hers, smile on smile." I made so many highlights in this book, but I don't want to spoil everything for you but remember this.

    This was my first Lulu Moore book, and I enjoyed it. She writes one heck of an MMC.

    Lux is such a sweetheart! He is patient, kind, supportive, and encouraging. He is chivalrous with Radley, and it is swoon worthy. He never pushes her. He pays attention to her- to the point that he knows what her different body language and ticks mean. He does everything within his power to reassure her and help build her confidence, and I loved every second of it!!

    Radley is the president's daughter, who struggles with trust, independence, anxiety, and panic attacks. This all stems from a degrading moment in her past. She's doing what she can to move on from it and create as normal of a life for herself as she can while away at college.

    Lux is a professional baseball player who runs into her twice in one day. That night, when he thinks Radley and her friend are being followed by a creep, Lux and his friends jump into action.....only to be knocked to the ground by Secret Service agents. 🤭 The rest is history, hehe.

    Radley grew so much during this book. I was rooting so hard for her. My heart ached for her through her struggle with anxiety. I loved seeing her blossom with the support of Lux and Millie.

    This is a fun, well-paced love story with the only conflict being logistics of their security and privacy in their relationship. The friend group/found family was so fun and enjoyable. Plenty of LOL and swoon worthy moments.

    The Baller is Book 3 in The New York Lions series, and while it happens in the off season, there is still a strong team dynamic. The banter and antics between Lux, Parker, Tanner and Ace are unmatched. My perma grin was in full effect the entire time.

    Lux meets Radley in a bookstore and the attraction is immediate. It turns out that she is the First Daughter and hilarity ensues in one of my favorite scenes with her Secret Service detail.

    Radley is attending Columbia University with her best friend Millie. She’s had a rough couple of years and is trying to take back her life while dealing with being in the public eye. Lux is the perfect person to stand by her side while she does it. The man smells and tastes like happiness. He supports and cares for her in a way that doesn’t overshadow the fact that this is her journey. And Radley? She soars. I had nothing to do with it, but I am so proud of her.

    I had so many favorite scenes in this book that I can’t possibly list them all. I will be thinking about them for a long time.

    This book started off a bit slow for me. It took a while for me to really get into the story, but once I did, I was hooked on Radley and Lux’s romance.

    It’s hard to imagine living under a microscope like these two do. He as a pro baseball player and her the president’s daughter. There’s scandal and hurts and having to over come. She finds her strength and he is sweet, patient and supportive while she’s doing it. What a great guy!!

    What I liked about the book was that although Lux is a pro baller, and obviously has experience, it wasn’t gushed about or glorified. It was about their relationship. And although she has been in a relationship that is written about pretty extensively, there’s an important reason for it.

    The side characters, his team mates and her security detail, add so much fun and depth to the story. I enjoyed the book and the eventual HFN (with strong potential for an HEA!)

    Lulu has knocked it out the park yet again!!! I loved Lux in Ace's book but he just made me swoon so much. I loved how he fell for Radley straight away and wasn't going to let her go. I loved how these two first meet it was perfect. I love how Radley's brothers react (i want there stories now) Lux was so swoonworthy in everything he did especially when he cooked for her. Radley was stronger than she realised and i loved how we are shown how the things that had happened to her had changed her and made her stronger than she realised.     This is the first book I’ve read by Lulu Moore and I really liked it.

    Like I said, it’s a gentle love that Lux and Radley share. Their respect and kindness towards each other is on every page and I am glad Moore didn’t need a breakup to show us that Radley and Lux are relationship goals.
