    Started off alright. Some good beginnings of a fun ghost story. Ends really abruptly and is pretty confusing. Also, it uses the phrase “Yes! Yes! Bring forth the agony of bliss!” When the ghost is finishing. So yeah.

    This book was slower than the rest, and though it had plenty of steam there was not only one but TWO twists at the end which really pushed this into the category of erotic horror. The ending is not what you would expect. Read it -and you be the judge.

    Sooo, im not really sure what to say. This has definite creep factor with a very limited amount of spice. But what gets me is I didn't really classify that as an hea. Was there supposed to be one? I'm not sure. But for me, its something I like to read in a book. However not everyone needs it so if your looking for a creepy short book with a few scenes of a little bit of steam and ending without an hea then this is for you.

    The exposition of the story is pretty solid, and overall, the writing is pretty good in the first half. That said, I had a hard time turning off editor mode in my brain, because I kept seeing opportunities to improve it.

    Around the halfway point, things get really rushed. Two sexual encounters (without conversation or even a kiss on the mouth) lead to instant obsession and what she calls "lovesickness." When he shows up to their séance date with a bouquet of red flags that get bigger and brighter, she starts to tap the brakes, and he comes back with an abuser's playbook of demand and manipulation. There is no HEA. There's only eternal prison until someone breaks his hold on her.

    The way things unfold would be decent for a horror story, but this was not billed as that.

    I wasn’t honestly expecting that ending. It makes me debate in the whole is this a romance or is this something else? It’s 25/75 on the HEA for me, leaning towards the nope, because dub con ending and all that….

    I felt the book gave more of a horror with a little splash of spice vibe, not dark monster romance. The ending definitely wasn't what I expected (kind of felt it ended where it shouldn't of) apart from that it was a good read

    Brought this book on a stuff your kindle day and wanted to read it on the spooky season 🎃 it's not a bad book, but this isn't a romance as it doesn't have a HEA or even a HFN. If you're looking for a short horror story, you could enjoy it. The marketing is all wrong 😥
