A wanna be marine biologist/mob bosses only daughter and the SEAL that rescued her.   The word "ahh" comes to mind in the first chapter, as Jack and Sam get to know each other in a pretense of a first date, pizza and soda and small tall about growing up. A very teenage-esque scene of almost flirting and touching that brought back memories of my own. How kismet is it that she ends up in the same state and same area as Jack a year later... This was a great love story with an adorable baby that I wanted to squish the cheeks of.  The writing really sunk into my brain and made me feel as if I were watching it play out in front of me. It truly showed some of the trials that a lone young woman in witness protection might go through and how she might deal with it. As well as the hard truths a retired SEAL might face when he doesn't feel like the man he used to be. I tee hee'd quite a bit at the cute and quirky happenings and had a smile plastered on my face the entire time I read. I think that anyone who enjoys SEAL romances will likely love this book as much as I did and absolutely recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

    Jack Williams was discharged from being an active duty SEAL because he blew out his knee on a mission and they told him it would never be strong enough to hold up under constant military use. Now he felt lost living on his farm substitute teaching until he could get a full time teaching job in Rally. He was driving along the road and he came across a car in a ditch then found the driver who was someone from his past that he could never forget, Samantha. She remembered him too and surprisingly enough they now had a little daughter together from the one night that they had spent together a year ago. He was a SEAL and his assignment was to extract her from Costa Rica so she could testify against her mofia boss father, Stefan Engel. He was so heartless and had put out a hit to kill her and her daughter to stop her from testifying. The Marshals were moving her to a safe house when one Marshal killed his partner and was then going to kill her. She managed to escape until she ran the car into that ditch and got stuck. Now that he found her and their daughter he vowed to protect them no matter what. It was an exciting action packed love story as these two fell in love as they evaded the bad guys with the help from Jack's friend, Zeke, who was a marshal. It was amazing as they got their happily ever after and Sam found out that there was actually really kind people in this world instead of what she was subjected to growing up with her gangster father. I highly recommend this book.

A man without feelings Stan Engel orders the death of his daughter as he now suspects she knows too much. A Seals team has been ordered to protect her and move her to a witness protection program. As her father had spies everywhere her transfer is interrupted to new safe house by the murder of one of the marshals. Escaping by stealing the car she ends up on a back road in Nebraska ditch after being run off the road by a semi. A retired, Seal, Jack discovers the accident on his way to town, but is surprised when the driver is Sam the girl he helped rescue a year ago. Taking her to his farm to determine the next move they are surprised to have night visitors. Immediately on the run Jack now contacts the Federal Marshall's office for assistance and protection vowing to protect Sam. An intriguing page turner.

    The Protective SEAL by Katie Knight checked all the boxes for me in this well written story about a hero SEAL and his strong woman. Jack and Sam’s story is non-stop danger and action with the adorable addition of a secret baby and steamy chemistry throughout.
    This author did a great job of developing these characters with emotional depth that the reader can’t help but feel everything they feel.
    Overall, I really enjoyed this book by Katie Knight, a new author to me, and I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

    I liked this book. The characters of Jack and Samantha "Sam" were wonderful. She's in witness protection - going to take her father's empire down by testifying and her dad gets someone to kill her and her daughter, Glory. Then Sam and Glory go on the run - right to Jack - her Seal. There was lots of suspense, fancy driving, shooting and romance. I had requested this book thru Hidden Gems and was going to leave a voluntary review, but I liked the book so I bought it.

They are constantly racing to escape from dirty Federal Marshall's who are told to kill Sam and her baby so Sam cant give evidence at her father's court case. They eventually fall in love and win the day.
    It was a good story with lots of action. I loved it.

    I know this author and often red her books as they are usually shorter, fun, easy reads and help me to relax. This one felt a little lacking. It wasn’t my favourite. I felt maybe a bit more investigating into the military, especial a SEAL’s life would have made the story more interesting and authentic. This story is about and Sam. Jack is an ex seal who medically discharged. He finds a car in the ditch and rescues Sam. Sam just happens to be a woman he not only recognizes but had a passionate one night stand with. Sam is running from her father who she is set to testify against and one of her body guards is on her father's payroll. She desperately needs Jack and he will do anything to protect her and her little girl. A little girl who just may be his daughter. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book and purchased a copy
