Review
"It's very sweet. I loved the Illustrations. It's a beautiful story. Such a good lesson to teach. It's a neat book to add to libraries."
"I absolutely love the way the book brings to life our lives with the flowers and nature. Gives such a great perspective for the young child"
"What a beautiful and touching story! In it, we meet Aurora who is walking with her parents in the woods. Along the way, we discover her parents are teaching her how her emotions are all wonderful gifts waiting to be shared with the world. She feels the sun on her face, listens to the wind and birds and even understands that when animals are frustrated they run, play and howl. She discovers her 'feelings are as natural as the bright sunshine of summer and the storm clouds of autumn'. I loved this story. It felt like a peaceful and loving meditation. I found myself rereading it all day long for its lovely message."

About the author

My name is Bonnie, a 26-year-old writer from Devon, England, currently living in South Wales with my daughter. I have a burning passion for creating new worlds and capturing raw human emotions through the power of story.
Writing has been a part of me since I could hold a pen. I feel the world around me and within me with a deep sensitivity. I find refuge within poetry and the natural world, and you will find these themes weaved through my work.
Since becoming a mother, I have been broken wide open in ways that only writing can understand.
Drawing from my experiences with childhood trauma, counselling, nervous system regulation, forest school, and as a birth worker, I aim to create a space for parents, children, and women to reconnect with nature and their bodies by connecting to our inner and outer world.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2024This is a beautiful book. I love the idea of relating our emotions to the forest and the rivers and season. It’s a great way to help kids learn about emotions and how to cope. I loved this book
- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2024I absolutely loved The Seasons of Me! This cute and calming book provides a wonderfully soothing experience—perfect for readers of all ages, even as an adult approaching 50! It explores the four elements—fire, water, earth, and air—and how each contributes to the beauty of the world and ourselves. This simple yet profound approach feels both grounding and uplifting.
There’s something special about children’s books as self-help guides; their gentle tone and straightforward approach make complex topics feel accessible and refreshing. My only small wish is for a slightly larger font, but The Seasons of Me is still a comforting, delightful read that beautifully illustrates how nature connects with our inner world.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2024I feel like the story would have been better with pictures to help a child understand what was being said. It was a good story but I don't see it holding a child's attention the way it is written. As an adult, I had a hard time keeping my attention on the story several times.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2024This book is a well developed and beautifully illustrated story that teaches young children about the seasons, and how it reflects upon themselves. The authors language is perfect for younger children to understand, and for the older ones to start to read from. Very fun to read!

5.0 out of 5 stars unequivocally beautiful
This gorgeous children’s book has my heart. It looks at the world through the innocent eyes of a child who has been brought up knowing nature. It uncovers emotional imbalance and how just as nature has its storms- we too are allowed to feel turbulence in our own lives. It shows a loving and compassionate family relationship- in touch with the wonders of the world. It also has interactivity questions at the back. Anyone invested in raising their child with a good grasp of both their emotions and the beauty of nature / importance of the environment should invest in this book 🩷
