The Weekend That Changed The World Kindle Edition

5.0 out of 5 stars 1 rating

What is needed in the age in which we live? Historian Will Durant once said: “There is no significant example in history, before our time, of a society successfully maintaining moral life without the aid of religion.”

But for religion to satisfy the human heart, it must deal with mankind’s most basic problem – restoring his relationship with God. This does not just mean a return to the values of our Judeo-Christian heritage, but the living, transforming power that comes through faith in the person of Jesus Christ.

David Littlewood is a widely travelled speaker and a free lance writer. He has degrees in both Science and Theology and has travelled widely as a speaker to countries including America, Africa, India, Eastern Europe and the Far East.

A prolific writer, he is the editor of a quarterly church history magazine, ‘Heroes of the Faith’ and has written extensively on church history. He has also written articles for many different magazines and newspapers over the last 30 years. He is the author of several books whose subjects include church history, biography, theology and children’s novels.

When not writing or being a grandfather, David’s interests include classical music. Although he makes no pretence to be a performer (much to the relief of his friends and relatives), David has a large collection of classical recordings which sometimes threaten to take over his office. He also enjoys movies, theatre and opera. His sporting interests are cricket and rugby union although, he hastens to add, in a spectator capacity only!

5.0 out of 5 stars Full disclosure - the author is my Dad
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 10, 2019
I'm ashamed to day this book has been in print for over twenty years and I never got round to reading it, being a surly teenager when it was first published. However, I'm super proud of my old man after finally finishing it.
His writing style is easy to read and understand but ably tackles a very weighty topic. But the big selling point is his passion and enthusiasm for the subject which is translated so well into his writing. Having seen this being lived out day after day makes this book a great testament to this wonderful man.
