Martin has a beautiful way of writing about pain and vulnerability. The first-person perspective feels authentic and immersive, and the relationships between characters (even minor, side characters) are consequential and well-handled. This was my first read by this author and I intend to buy the rest of their work right after I'm done typing this! Oh...and the steam...woah lordy. If you want a story about the redemptive power of self-discovery, this is it.

The world building and characters were amazing, you won’t be able to keep from falling in love with these 2 or Sebastian too, for that matter! I can’t wait for his story!!! I’m also highly curious about what Sam’s going to be like as well!
I have bought a lot of debut novels and in my honest opinion, this is one of the best I’ve ever read. I’m excited to see where the author’s writing journey takes her!! Kudos Ms. Martin!!

So this was actually good. It was a lot of long bits of dialogue but the duo pov was wonderful. He falls first and HARD. This really made me realize how much I lack in the father department and I often found myself relating to Lizzie. If Sarah and Seb don’t get together I’m suing everyone. I only cried in the parts about her dad cause erm it made me sad. This took me forever to get through though. I think cause of the massive amounts of dialogue. Much love to the author!!!💕

This is a sweet story of love and forgiveness. Lizzie and Miles have a whirlwind romance that is everything either could want. They compliment each other's needs and love strongly. I was happy to see that Miles told Lizzie that he was the head of the publishing company founded by his father early in their relationship. That way it didn't boil into something that would cause heartache later. It wasn't a lie by omission. In some stories a single act can cause grief and anger. But both had each other's heart early on.

Because she had Miles for strength, she was able to repair her relationship with her estranged father.

    Enjoyed this very much

The whole book takes place within a few month span. The relationship moves so fast and honestly gave me whiplash. Miles is a great MMC but his alpha vibes really came across “creepy” sometimes. I usually don’t have a problem with this as I love a strong alpha male but idk the relationship just wasn’t there for me. The first half of the book I really want to punch the FMC in the face because of her constant whining and self doubt. I really struggle with damnsel in distress fmcs. Overall if you’re into love at first sight and a sweep you off your feet romance this is for you. Honestly the best part of the book for me was the spice. Miles has a dirty mouth lol.

This was an easy and super cute read.

Elizabeth had a perfect childhood growing up until something that changed her and her life. She struggles with relationships and doesn’t believe in fairytales.

“The truth is, I don’t trust men. I’ve seen the same thing happen time and time again, and now I am putting my foot down. I don’t have faith in men, plain and simple.”

Miles became the CEO of his fathers company unexpectedly and works so much he doesn’t have time for relationships. The one night stands with woman are growing tiresome and he wants a change.

“That part of my life is in the past. As I near my thirties, I am ready to find the one woman I am meant to settle down with.”

A chance encounter between Lizzie and Miles at a coffee shop and then later that evening, at a club, it was destined to be. Their relationship blossomed really quickly and has some uncertainties.

Miles and Lizzie were perfect! Such a great and happy read. miles was so open and honest about his feelings. It was refreshing to see that. Lizzie took time to open up but once she did it was a relief.

No third act break up. There was some drama but not between Miles and Lizzie. It was outside factors that added a little drama to the story.

    Overall a great read!

First thing that I like about this book is the story line from the very beginning like my heart broken for Lizzie in the beginning of the book because all that she want in her whole life was to find love like her parents did but that all changed when her parents got divorced when she was little girl. Then as an adult she kept meeting all the wrong guys but on one morning she found the right guy.

5.0 out of 5 stars That ending though...

I admit I don't read romance, nor am I easily impressed, but this is a 5 star story.

Lizzie and Miles are both great truly vivacious alive characters that help drive the story to completion. I started reading this book at 8 am this morning finished at 10:20 which is a review in an of itself.

This is whirlwind romance with just a spice of trauma and tragedy with plenty of sexy scenes for the romance lovers. Supporting cast of characters feel real. Story picks up fast, develops quickly, and is filled with all the delicious doubt, anxiety, and excitement you could hope for in this type of story.

Story will take you on a roller coaster ride of love and emotional growth of heading into the future while dealing with the traumas of your past. Well paced, well structured, and near flawless. If the ending doesn't make you feel something you may just be dead inside.

Romance fans would be a fool not to check this book and series out. I will be reading the next in a few days when I get paid and can pick them up.

This is a beautiful story with some challenges for the main characters that are revealed over the course of the book and weighed heavily on them. I loved the way that Lizzie and Miles met, particularly the twice in one day element. They both had significant issues about relationships, but watching them develop feelings was a delight.

I liked the way that Miles wanted to support Lizzie, even when she didn't want him to show favouritism or he wasn't sure how best to do it. Lizzie seeing Miles for himself showed the connection they had.

Dementia features, including one of the most memorable and emotional encounters which allowed the past to be acknowledged, but also recognised the challenges dementia brings. The book also touches on abusive behaviour at times, particularly involving an ex.

I'm looking forward to the next in the series and am sure that I will revisit this.
