Loved it!
Drake's book has been a long time coming and holy cow was it worth the build up. If you have read any of the past books in the M&M Reloaded Series you've met Drake especially in the last one, THE MAN FROM SANCTUM with that crazy ending, well folks this book is one you won't want to miss because Drake and Taylor not only know how to heat things up in the bedroom they know how to get things done within the agency as well. Lexi Blake has crafted a world where Agency employees can work side by side with Mercenaries for a common goal, well most of the time anyway, and I absolutely love this mix of Men and Women that tote the line and others that aren't afraid to bend it when necessary. In NO TIME TO LIE both Drake and Taylor work for the Agency but Tag and some of his men are right there along with them for this mission...to bring down an organization and one woman in particular, Julia. I loved the chemistry between Taylor and Drake but what I loved even more was getting to see all the cameos from previous books show up to help fight the fight. And the Epilogue was such a tease, I cannot wait for The next generation of M&M. This book was written at a difficult time for the author, she had just been diagnosed with breast cancer, and she mentions that writing was a way to work through a lot of what she was going through. I know on a personal level that reading helped me through my breast cancer diagnosis and surgeries, and while she dedicated this book to her doctors and nurses I would like to thank her for the countless books she has written that helped me through my darkest time. Sending you love and well wishes Ms Blake and Thank you for all the joy you put in our lives.     Another great book from Lexi Blake.

    Here we're getting Drake's story. Now he's been in the McKay-Taggart universe for some time, but we didn’t know much about him besides that he worked for the CIA and he was super intelligent and young.

    We learn more about Drake here and what makes him tick. At this point he's been in the agency for about a decade and has seen his fair share of crap. Also he was betrayed by his own sister so you can understand why he doesn’t trust anyone.

    He realizes that he has no real friends or anyone that he can trust because if his job.

    Enter Taylor, she isn't on the same level as Drake in the agency but they have reason to believe that maybe she's not trustworthy because of her ties. But Drake wants so bad to trust her and believe that she's honest with him.

    They spend sometime with each other really getting to know one another and then Taylor is accused of things she did not do and not only does Drake let them take her he doesn’t go after her.

    Now it's some time later and Drake and Taylor are once again thrown together but this time Taylor is not going to fall for Drake, not again.

    But Drake is determined to have her and he won't stop until she's his again.

    He's also been in the game for so long he doesn’t know how to navigate relationships and how to show the people around him he cares.

    I loved how he knew what he wanted and that was Taylor he was done playing games and wanted her to be his. And he would do anything to have her. I also loved how self aware Drake was. And I absolutely loved the groveling.

    Taylor has been through a lot and having Drake just discard her like she was nothing really hurt. She opened up to him in a way she didn’t usually do with people. She shared things with him for him to turn around and distrust her.

    She was heartbroken and she wasn’t going to get herself in that position again no matter all the sweet words that Drake was using on her.

    I love how strong she was and she didn't take crap from no one. She was tough in the field too. I like that she was strong and could protect herself.

    Taylor and Drake together was so sweet, I love the fact that he also after some convincing didn’t try to stop her from her mission. This was another great read for me.

    But let me tell you the next book is the one I have been waiting for forever! Since Maebe and Kyle were brought into the books I have wanted their story.

Lexi Blake has, as usual, done an excellent job of helping folks understand emotions and realities and how to work through them. Believable characters with distinct personalities and somewhat twisted childhoods. Thought-provoking, memorable and occasionally snarky dialogue.

    ‘Her dad wouldn’t blame her for being dumb enough to fall for Drake Radcliffe. He would wrap his arms around her and kiss her forehead like he did when she was a child and tell her that her heart was far too big and open for this world, and she couldn’t help but try to give pieces of it away.
    Then he would have quietly killed Drake Radcliffe, taken his body apart, and buried it on different continents.
    She really, really missed her dad.’

    “But I am saying if you love someone you help them have the best life they can possibly have, and that means ensuring they’re not walking around scared all the time. Fear is not the place I want to be making a choice from, and I certainly don’t want that for my daughters any more than I would my sons.

    I will re-read this story and always look forward to, pre-order when possible, new works by this author.

    As number 4 of a 5-part series, we are left impatiently waiting for the final book to arrive in February 2023. This is an exciting spy vs spy story but I was disappointed with the low number of usual dungeon scenes I've learned to expect in the Masters & Mercenaries books. That said, there was plenty of Agency/MT action and romance and of course laugh out loud Ian Taggart sarcastic humor. Bonus is the Epilogue that gives us another look at the possible future of the Taggart kids and friends.

    I would just like to begin by saying my favorite thing about @authorlexiblake as an author is she always finds a way to bring past characters back, and all of her series connect with overlapping characters. I loved this book off the bat when past characters came back to help with the mission and then more kept popping up throughout. It certainly wouldn’t be a Lexi Blake book without Ian Taggart and all of his wisdom when it comes to love. It never gets old listening to how he feels about Charlie.

    Okay, now on to the actual couple of the book, Drake and Taylor. Drake and Taylor have been through a lot given they grew up as spies, trained by their fathers at very young ages so they don’t really know how to have normal friendships and relationships. They meet unexpectedly and spend a week snowed in together, however things happen that lead to an 18 month separation. When they come back together it is clear they were told different lies and had their own personal misconceptions on the situation at hand.

    Taylor is stubborn and unwilling to forgive the situation, but Drake immediately admits his faults and is ready to fight for her. Drake being able to recognize his feelings and know what Taylor needs is what made them such a great couple. In the end they needed to work together to achieve the mission.

    I have been dying for Kyle and MaeBe’s story ever since they were introduced and I am beyond excited for their story to be told in February! Also I am hoping that sneak peak at the next generation will bring on a new spinoff, although I seriously need a refresher course on who’s children are who and which are dating which already!

    There are no errors that I can recall
    There is some swearing and there are some sex scenes of a BDSM nature lightly written.
    The characterisation is absolutely perfect, the reader being given a deeper insight into Drake and introducing Taylor.
    I lost my way a bit with this book, and struggled to pick it up again. Mostly, I think, because of how much Julia Ennis is so very much a female Levi Green (most favourite love to hate character ever) and also the continuation of the Collective as the Consortium.
    It makes for some outstanding WTF moments, yet at the same time it felt like a re-invention and I was a little bored with the backstory.
    I would have loved to learn more about Lev.
    I am looking forward to reading Kyle's story and if the epilogue is anything to go by then the future at The Agency is full of Taggart's!
    I have no problem recommending the book but would advise reading from the beginning to obtain the best reading experience.

    Told from the POV of both characters, The Agency is trying to bring down and obliviate The Consortium.
    Fantastic storyline, wonderful characters and loved the HEA.
