Review
This very fun, relatable story normalizes anxiety and introduces the reality that these skills have to be practiced daily. It's a journey toward empowerment and a sense of mastery! This is an amazing resource for therapists and caregivers - one to read over and over together, whether in session or at home."

"Transforming Anxiety is a wonderful addition to the Super Skills series! Through fun rhyme, kids learn about anxiety, how it feels in the body, and strategies to help tend to it when the worry gets big and uncomfortable. A great addition to my bibliotherapy library! Highly recommend."

- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2022As an older adult who suffers from chronic anxiety, I am love with this book.
For children and young adults, the appropriation of the wisdom in this book can be an inoculation for when anxiety intrudes into their lives. Unfortunately, anxiety is an all too invasive reality that effects the many. Finding help in our connected humanness is a basic human skill that can prevent anxiety going into a chronic condition. This book is a suggestive remedy for that and great to read to children as a life support going through this experience.
For adults, often we make anxiety recovery more complicated that it need be. The antidotal energies that fill our soul with love and acceptance often are on the level understood best from a child like state. The basics of anxiety relief are very present in this book even for adults. Sometimes the most penetrating truths come to us in the most simplest forms.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2022I bought this book for my six year old daughter because I wanted to give her the necessary tools she needs now (and will need in the future) to help her manage her anxieties and stressors that come with existing in the world today. I want to prepare her by giving her strategies as well as cultivate a growth mindset and this book does BOTH! My daughter likes the colorful illustrations that help her stay connected and focused. I like having a set of go to strategies that she is now familiar with and we can practice together. I am so glad I bought this book...it is helpful, engaging and empowering for my daughter.

Lily, the main character, plays a pivotal role in guiding Ben through his anxiety by skillfully normalizing his experience: "...they call it anxiety. No, it's not rare." - Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2023I have 2 kids and my oldest struggles a lot with anxiety. We have tried helping her several times with different methods to get through her anxiousness including the things read in this book. This book did really well with explaining anxiety in a child’s perspective and helping them cope with it. I could see her anxiety melting away as we read this book. I think it helped that she didn’t feel alone in her feelings. Definitely will reread again to help her gain resilience as well as using the methods suggested.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2022This book encourages kids to share their scary feelings in order to transform them. As we name them, we can tame them!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2022This book was written in a fun and engaging way and is filled with multiple strategies to help kiddos deal with anxiety. It normalizes intense emotions and provides different techniques that can be helpful. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I believe it's important to provide kiddos with a variety of skills so they can figure out what works best for them. This book does that. My favorite part is at the end when it says "remember it won't go away like magic, with work and practice it won't be so tragic". Part of having a growth mindset and overcoming anxiety is recognizing that you have to keep trying when things are hard.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2022This book has so many great strategies to help children deal with their anxiety! As a 2nd grade teacher, I sadly know first hand the amount of stress and anxiety little ones are feeling these days! These strategies are ones that I teach every day to my students and I am so excited to have a book that teaches them all in a fun, easy to understand way! Lauren Mosback has done it again, this book is such a wonderful tool for teacher, parents, and more! I highly recommend you add it to your library today!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great steps for everyone!
I got the book for my kid but had no idea how much I was going to learn from it.
I loved the way the steps were broken down on how to help with transforming anxiety.
When Ben can’t quite place how he feels, his friends help him put does feelings into words and tame his emotions.
What a really educational read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book to help children to transform anxiety
It’s a great book with many different techniques to help children to become calmer and happier.
Going through different pages, kids learn how to name the emotions, how to breathe like a dragon, how to transform negative thoughts into a growing mindset outlook. I think not only children could use the book... I am working with kids as a yoga therapist and I will be definitely using it in my class. The illustrations are beautiful. I would highly recommend it!
