Review
Author Natalie Alder has a real gift at writing books about characters that her readers will love, and that is no small feat. When a reader's heart is racing because she's so worried about what is happening to a character, well, that is certainly a sign of the author's talent. The settings she describes are so realistic that you will feel you are there...you simply will not want to put it down! ...a story that would be enjoyed by any reader who loves women's fiction, romance, or just an honestly good read. I recommend this book very highly...

About the author

I write stories about romance. They center on learning about the characters backgrounds, personalities and life circumstances that mold them into who they are and how they love.
I am a sassy 50-something year old. I live in a quiet farming town in New England with my husband of twenty years and our two rescued cats. After college I facilitated improvement in the physical abilities of children and the elderly then took the opportunity to enjoy my creative side. I love to sew, knit, write...sing and drink martinis (not necessarily at the same time).

- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2015Natalie continues The Tapestry Series with another heartfelt story of how love is built on overcoming challenges and doesn't just magically appear whole cloth. Cole and Sara have a tough time of it at first...the things get really entertaining. We get to catch up on what Audra and JP, the main characters from Crewel Work are up to too. Another enjoyable read with plenty of romance, suspense and...you know ;-)
- Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2016Wow, just Wow ! Where do I start this book is amazing it's from the heart. I love all of Natalie's books . Her first book in this series is fantastic but she has out done and surpassed herself on this heart touching story. It's emotional has some ups and down. You wonder if life is going to give this loving couple a chance to be together. There are obstacles they have to overcome. Natalie also gives us new on Audra and J.P. since they got together in the first book which I thought was great. She is a excellent writer. This book is about Cole and Sara , how they met fell in love and the all the trouble , pain, love and heartache they have to go through. Don't want to give anything away .
Cole got out of a relationship realizing it wasn't the right one for him. He got together with his friends at the club for St. Pattys Day. Now how Cole and Sara meet are funny and Cole can't believe he did what he just done. Someone bumped into Sara and she bumped into Cole and low and behold he was holding a pitcher of green beer above his head and the jarring made him spill it ..lol.. and when he looks down all he sees is this beautiful girl her shirt is covered in beer. She's a wet t-shirt contestant waiting to be chosen....that gives you a view of what Cole sees. Her shirt is see through now, Cole rips off his t shirt and puts it on her so no one else will see what he has saw.
There are sparks from both of them. Cole wants her , Sara wants Cole too. He kisses her outside and they make plans to meet up again soon. They get together again things happen , Sara has to leave her mom has fallen and she's needed at the hospital and at home. If it's not one thing it's another keeping these two apart. But they love each other but it's killing them not being able to be there for each other. Sara is under the impression that she can't give Cole what he needs while she is taking care of her mom.
Cole wants Sara however he can have her. He proposes to her but in her heart she feels like she would be doing him wrong.
Sara gets advice from her sister and her mom and realizes that Cole is the only man for her.
They make plans for a happy ever after. Just as the title says Trouble Looming is right.
Life is good for these two then danger strikes and it's touch and go for everyone. All I can say is it's heartbreaking and loving. You have to read it.
I recommend this book very highly.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2015Natalie continues The Tapestry Series it is a heartfelt story love does not come easy. They had to overcome so much just when things should have worked out for them life takes a turn leaving love hanging. They will have to overcome so much more than most couples have to. My heart went out to Cole and Sarah. The author gives you wonderful characters you can relate to with day to day lives. She brings back and gives updates on that has happen to these characters lives in the first book. It was nice to see how Audra and JP were doing along with a few of the others.
The author touches on some major issues of how to deal with having a long distance relationship. How to make one last even when you have little time to be together. Cole has had to deal with a lot growing up with the lost of his mother and having to help raise his family along with helping to take care of his grandparents. This should be his time but he finds he must again put his life on hold why his wife gives the much needed help to her mother. I have to give it to Cole for not giving up when it would have been so easy to walk away. The author gives a few twists along with suspense at one point my heart was in my throat waiting to see the outcome. There is much sadness but a whole lot of joy.
I received my copy exchange for an honest review.

Cole Becker helped his father (William) raise his younger siblings his brother and sister after their mother died when they were young. He also helped take care of his grandparents when he was younger as part of being there caregiver until they passed away. Now it is Cole's time to have the life he has been waiting for and deserves.
Cole meets Sara at a St. Patty's day party in a bar, when he goes home she is all he can think about. He thinks that all of his dreams are within reach, then things begin to fall apart when they start to date. She has to work a full-time job and be her mother’s full-time caregiver. They almost break up but Cole won't let it happen, he gave her the space that she needs but they still talk and met up when they can. Cole loves Sara so much that he asks her to marry him and at first she says no but then Sara's sister talks to her and her mother over hears her talking and tells Sara that she needs to follow her heart. Can Cole convince Sara they can make it work?
This book also updates the readers about all the comings and goings of the Becker family, the focus is all on the relationship of Cole and Sara. Their relationship is very real, I could picture a couple dealing with all of the things that they went through. I love how Cole is willing to do what it takes to keep Sara in his life, even if Sara is unsure on them.
This book was amazing! It was so intriguing to read. There were some twists and turns that you may not like, but they go along with the story. I'm wanting to know what is going to happen next. I can’t wait until I can get the next book in the series. I would recommend this series to all my book friends and family.
