Tuesday Tales: Magic in Ordinary Days Kindle Edition
Discover the Magic in Ordinary Days with Tuesday Tales
Rina has always cherished her deep connection to her ancestry, mostly forged through oral histories she was lucky enough to get from her elders. When her grandfather died in 2014, she felt the urge to continue sharing family stories, both timeless and contemporary. The range of emotions she shared and evoked in just a few paragraphs left readers wanting more—luckily, they knew they could count on her every Tuesday for almost four years. This captivating compilation promises laughter amid hardships and introspection through comic twists. Rina’s effortless and inviting tone beckons you to delve into tale after tale discovering poignant accounts of hunger on a Colombian beach; the lone bridge of Panama; sharks and more sharks; performing for thousands; the intricacies of homeschooling; attending hundreds of childbirths; surviving harrowing plane malfunctions, treacherous ski lifts, so many alligators, the dangers of automobiles, and food poisoning again and again. There’s magic in the every day. Discover it here!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2023Delightful collection of stories .... Well worth a few afternoons of reading.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2024These retellings of real life scenarios in the author's life all have an undercurrent of whimsy. They are fun because they are all real - even when they seem "unreal" from bizarreness. My favorite so far is the toilet holder accusation incident...; If you are looking for a good bunch of chuckles, light and airy for the most part, this book will delight you.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2023I didn't really know what to expect when I started reading this book, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed reading it. These short (some super short) stories of the author's every day life and her memories are sweet, funny and relatable. I found myself both crying and laughing. These stories are as much about the author's life as they are about human life in general. I loved it and highly recommend it!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2023Ms. Rina Rios is sometimes very eloquent in her writing and other times she just makes up words. It’s a great combination and a peek into her character. I was planning to read one story at a time, but I always wanted more, so I finished the book in two sittings. The stories are all very different so you never know what you’re going to get, like a box of chocolates, like life.
