Physicist by training, silicon chip architect by profession and sci-fi fan by inclination. For nearly four decades of technical day job, I've been chasing electrical signals through circuits and systems, wringing out the information they are trying to hide, battling with the monsters lurking within murky forests of transistors. Think of me as the Van Helsing of electronic design.
Over the years I've written a lot of stuff to mentor and encourage others to follow in my tracks - but it only recently occurred to me to make the leap from fact to fiction. So in the precious fragments of spare time that present themselves, I work on short stories, novels and feature screenplays in the sci-fi, technothriller and horror spaces. You'll find me somewhere on the what-if to what-the-Hell continuum...

Josh is a writer and film critic from the Dorset coast. He loves horror and superheroes... if you couldn't tell.
LEE BAILES is a UK expat living in Sweden. A former film critic, an award-winning short film screenwriter and filmmaker by night and instructional design consultant by day, he is mostly drawn to the dark Horror, Fantasy, Sci Fi and action genres.
Dylan Spicer graduated from Brighton Film School before earning an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. His diverse projects include an audio drama that uncovers a hidden story within Homer’s Odyssey and a mixed-media exploration of the goddess Sulis Minerva. Currently, he is developing The Butter Mouse, an innovative flash fiction blog that weaves together writing, video, photography, cocktail recipes, and more to tell an ongoing story.
Paul Schofield is a horror and children's author (yes you read that correctly), living in Essex, UK with his wife Sophie and his two children, Joel and Elliot. He graduated from University of West London with a BA in Media Arts and Film & TV Studies, where his love of writing started with screen writing. When Daddy Goes to Work and When Mummy Goes to Work were his first children's books, inspired by his own experiences as a working parent. When he is not playing with dinosaurs or getting soaked at bath time, Paul likes to play video games, watch movies and bake chocolate brownies.
Chris has always had substantially more hobbies than he could ever hope to be competent at, and maybe writing is no exception. However, it’s been on the list much longer than any other past-time and it’s something he’s always found himself coming back to, whether for work or pleasure.
Just recently he’s decided to finally offload some of the many stories that have been growing like mould over the last few years, and Twisted50 seemed like the perfect place to start. He hopes this will lead to many more writing opportunities and maybe eventually that elusive sense of self satisfaction, which apparently some people have in life. Chris has a doctorate in computer science, a job that’s too complicated to explain, and lives on the south coast of the UK with his wife, son, and two rabbits.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thriller chiller that's a killer read
The hardback feels solid and enduring, while the paperback is something I can easily share. The stories within offer such a variety of chills and thrills that it’s a book that’s enjoyable, even amusing and thought-provoking and shows what an unusual and wicked amount of talent there is around the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Twisted50 Vol 3
Loved this book. It was an utter delight to read Twisted50 Vol 3, to be captivated by the fantastic, scary imagination of over 50 horror authors. These are spooky stories, creepy and gruesome stories, some are stories of revenge, and some are so terrifying I felt I was in a nightmare scenario, where the atmosphere was dark, horrific and malevolent. Here stories of the supernatural create fear and terror. Stories of mystery and dark suspense end with a surprise twist. Human nature is explored in an interesting and fascinating way. I definitely recommend Twisted50 Vol 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for horror fans!
Another fantastic selection of horror shorts from the Twisted50 series. It really is a showcase of great new writing talent that assures all horror fans that the genre is definitely undead! It's hard to call out favourites, but if you're twisting (no pun intended) my arm, 'Dinner Lady' by Eileen Wilson, 'Murderabilia' by Rebecca Golby, 'On The Hook' by Lee Bailes and 'The Laughing Room' by John Read are great examples of how one of the oldest traditions in writing can be taken in horrifying new directions. Have this by your bedside, but don't expect to get much sleep...

5.0 out of 5 stars Something for every horror fan
There really is something for every horror fan in this book, whatever kind of horror you like. I laughed out loud at one story while others filled me with existential dread. As with all anthology books the quality varies, but I'm happy to say there wasn't a single stinker in this collection.
