Upsy-Daisy Dom (Hell's Bedroom Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 166 ratings

It’s really rude to wish you’d been kidnapped. Especially when your best friend actually was. But Tripp wishes something would happen to him. He likes his sex kinky, and he likes his kink on the fun side of risky. Which means he’s got his eye on Sebastian Gage, the incredibly handsome, incredibly rich, incredibly dangerous Dom.

Sebastian makes subs cry, and he’s not sorry about it. He is sorry that his penchant for emotional sadism means none of his playmates ever stick around, but he’s not going to let any of his new-found friends know that. All they know is that he’s a cruel Dom and a brilliant attorney. And right now it’s time to concentrate on the brilliant attorney part instead of getting sidetracked by a gangly young sub with a smart mouth and a penchant for danger.

Sebastian will do anything to make sure the perp who’s been targeting vulnerable subs in a human trafficking scheme gets what he deserves. Maybe even sacrifice Tripp, the only one who can take everything Sebastian has to offer. The only one who’s ever stuck around.

This is the final book in the Hell's Bedroom series.

One of my favorite things about reading book series that focus on different characters set in the same over-arching storyline is allowing the author to lull me into falling in love with characters I might not have cared too much about previously. Tripp might kick off the entire human trafficking mystery in the first book of this trilogy, but other than his obvious care for Arlo, I never found much to enjoy about his otherwise selfish and slightly annoying personality. Along those same lines, Sebastian is blatantly crafted to be the antithesis to the types of Dom that Cash and Brixby represent. He’s the stereotypical sadist who thrives on control, but he’s the money behind this operation, while Tripp is the “inciting incident,” so the group kind of feels like it has to keep them around.

I’ll admit that I cackled to myself when Tripp finally goads Sebastian into playing with him, especially once I figured out how Sebastian intended to mess with Tripp’s mind. However, the scene does not play out the way I expected, and how Sebastian acts toward Tripp afterward had me sliding toward a fondness for the character. Every time they played together later (even against Sebastian’s better judgment), I realized how perfect these two characters are for each other and falling for them as they fell for each other.

Based on previous books by Chris, I already knew she could craft a tense courtroom drama. Just as I thought the dramatic finale of the external plotline would happen earlier in the book than I thought, Chris threw all of my previous expectations out the window and delivered an epic finale that I couldn’t put down.

With this novel, Chris wraps up the trilogy in a satisfying manner while also presenting another wonderful (if nontraditional) romance. I highly recommend this series to readers looking for a series of unexpected D/s relationships with just the right amount of spiciness to highlight a fantastic overarching plot.

Tripp was a sub with a crush on one of the meanest Dom's in Hell's Bedroom, Sebastian. Sebastian knew his reputation and he didn't think Tripp was able to handle him. Their friends were depending Sebastian prosecuting the case against the trafficking ring. Everything would go to hell and a hand basket it they fooled around. I enjoyed their journey.

Confession time: I began this book unsure I’d be able to finish a story that featured Tripp as a main character. Bratty subs, it seems, aren’t my thing and I found Tripp difficult to like while I read the first two stories in the Hell’s Bedroom series. Luckily for Tripp, bratty subs are exactly the kind of temptation attorney Sebastian Gage enjoys. Despite his resolve not to get in deep with a college student whose main ambition appears to be snaring an unattainable Dom, Sebastian slowly folds in the face of enticement and draws us all in with him.

Sebastian himself isn’t an easy character. Razor sharp in looks and lifestyle and wealthy enough to be flamboyant, he’s also gleefully honest about everything (at least outside of the courtroom), including his pleasure in breaking subs down. Though prickly, Sebastian is also self-aware and surprisingly loyal to his tiny crew of friends, a character trait he shares with Tripp.

Though each often seems bemused to find themselves a part of the group, that shared loyalty underscores Tripp and Sebastian’s story. Intent on protecting their found family and the BDSM community through which they met, they join forces to take down a crime ring trafficking vulnerable subs. However, there’s a lot of humor between them (I laughed out loud often) and no shortage of heat, especially with Sebastian glorying in torturing Tripp with a will-I-or-won’t-I strategy that keeps him consistently on edge until Tripp cracks (much to their mutual delight (and mine)).

Upsy-Daisy Dom is an excellent ending to this series, and I say with total sincerity that I hope Tanya Chris revisits the world she created soon—I’d love to hear more from Hell’s Bedroom and its characters.

This is not a standalone book. You need to read both previous stories to get the story arc and the setup of the characters and their pairings. I love that the author has taken BDSM and show that the dynamic within the lifestyle is as different and individual as the people involved, as long as it's safe, sane and consensual.

Both Tripp and Sebastian start as characters that you love to hate. Tripp is scattered, needy, and seems to be all about himself. Sebastian's kink is being mean, physically and psychologically. And at the start of their story, you do wonder how they're ever going to work in a relationship. But as the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover. Reading how the two of them come together and form a pair is fun.

I love how the story arc is wrapped up. I'm sad that the series is ending though.

Each book gets better and better. This time Tripp and Sebastian get their turn. Tripp was lusting after Sebastian from the first time he saw him at Hell's Bedroom and boy did he get more than he bargained for. The gang is still trying to infiltrate the human traffickers and finally get a break. Meanwhile Sebastian is putting Tripp through a mind trip cause that's what he does best not realizing that he's actually falling for Tripp. Lots of twists and turns, action, hurt/comfort and in the end a HEA. Bonus epilogue at end of book for Harrison and Cash. I highly recommend this series.

Psychological cruelty kink? Yup. It's a thang. And Sebastian loves to dish it out. Maybe a little too well. Because no one seems to want a steady diet of it or him. But then there's Tripp. Too young and too eager but man, the boy's magic when he cries.
Too bad they can't connect. Because Sebastian is the DA prosecuting a case where Tripp is a witness. Anything unprofessional between can't happen. Except...

I wavered on this one. It’s probably 3.5 stars for me. I did enjoy the book. It was a new take on kink I have not read before. I liked both characters but I’ve definitely read better

I absolutely loved this book and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it!
I didn't like Sebastian when he was first introduced in 'Kitchen Sink Dom' my dislike intensified in 'Chicken Soup Dom' but, I was still really looking forward to reading this book and, I am more than happy to say, I'm definitely not disappointed with this.
This is Sebastian and Tripp's beautifully written story, which is also, a delightful ending to what has been a brilliant series, and I don't want to say goodbye!
I don't want to give spoilers for this book, I want to urge readers to dive in and immerse themselves in this absolute delight.

Definitely read these three books in order as there is a continuing story arc. This is a fun bdsm adventure series that tracks couples who find each other while their group of friends tries to solve a case of disappearing submissives. Great easy reads.

Loved this book. I was waiting to see if Sebastian could be redeemed and in a crazy way he was. I still see him as Sebastian who was a bit of a thorn in everyone's side but now he has a match to compliment him his behaviors can kind of be explained.
I love seeing all the other characters and getting a little closure in the case. If you have read the others you can't miss this.

Loved seeing the resolution of this series. But oh my GAWD it gets TENSE! I had to walk away and walk it off a few times. Like watching a tense situation/scary movie through your fingers. Great characters, distinctive. Sexy fun times and tender times too with this romance thriller.
