I’ve been intrigued by Juliana since Unexpected (Love in LA #2). From the beginning, Ive had a feeling that her story was going to pull on all of my heartstrings, and I’ve had high expectations for her hero since before her hero was even announced. I was actually anxious walking into this book, because I was already strongly invested in Juliana, and anything less than perfect would not have met my standards for her love story. Well. Jenna Hartley not only met all of my expectations for Juliana’s HEA, she exceeded them. Juliana Wright is a DREAM. She’s such an inspiring heroine. She is sensitive and compassionate, she is talented and dedicated, and her strength is extremely admirable. She is soft and fierce, and I love her. Juliana has experienced a serious tragedy, and everyday she wakes up is a fight. She fights to succeed at work, she fights to be present and supportive for her friends, and she fights to maintain a positive and hopeful outlook. In spite of the odds and despite the horrible luck life has thrown at her, Juliana Wright is resilient, and she is strong. Jenna Hartley writes wonderfully realistic and complex heroines, and Juliana is a perfect example. Just like I knew she would, Juliana tugged on all my heartstrings, and her HEA was absolutely PERFECT. Harrison Hayes. Daddy Harrison. I don’t even know how to begin talking about Harrison Hayes except to say that he is perfect. No other man would have been good enough for my Juliana. Harrison is it. He is everything.     I’m giving this book 4.5 stars simply because Juliana and Harrison are almost too perfect. Juliana has a highly successful event planning business and Harrison is an ex-football player who is a sportscaster. They unknowingly meet one night, then meet again to plan his daughter’s wedding. The story takes off from there. I just loved Juliana and Harrison together. He’s the calm to her storm. They both have some issues to overcome. Juliana’s is more traumatic, but meeting Harrison makes her realize it’s time to move on and live again. I loved Harrison’s relationship with his daughter. Juliana has a cast of great friends. This book just has all kinds of goodness in it. Anyone one who likes a good romance with well-written and likable characters will thoroughly enjoy this book.

    Harrison is the father of the bride. He is also a handsome and fit retired NFL football player who is a confirmed bachelor 20 years after his contentious divorce. Julianna is young and beautiful and also a very successful wedding and event planner. Her success is partly because 2 years ago she tragically lost her fiancé and has thrown herself into making remarkable weddings for other brides. When she and Harrison first met they shared a mutual interest, then a little spark soon turned into a blazing fire. I loved how this book had so many twist and turns that I couldn’t put it down. If you like a love story’s full of emotions then I highly recommend you read “Unpredictable”.

    Hmmmm I am always up for the nummy OlderMan/YoungerWoman Troupe. This story does not disappoint in the spicy department. Harrison has definitely been let down in the love department before. Juliana has dealt with some HUGE heartbreak in her past.

    This story has some beauty that provides a lot of emotions. All the characters were a thoughtful part of the read. Wedding planning, romance, and father of the bride elements were intriguing and kept me needing more.

    To be honest, I wasn’t always completely invested in this couple, as a couple. I felt like they could work for now but I didn’t necessarily see them having a long term HEA. Truthfully that is ok. Some of the timelines felt rushed and I think it takes a long time to get over the loss and uncertainties that Juliana experienced. No quick fix for that devastation, not even a hunky retired NFL Star. He is definitely drool worthy though. Wink.

    I love how Jenna writes her female characters.  They aren’t perfect but they are smart, strong, vivacious and funny.  Juliana was struggling with moving her life forward but her strength just leaps off the page.  To undergo what she did and still be able to wake up each morning and live her life was the epitome of strength.  But she was also honest in her sadness, her inability to just let go and her fears of loving anyone again.  This is what I love how Jenna writes woman as she is 100% truthful in her characterizations…there is no ignoring or overdramatizing the flaws we all have.  With Jenna, we get the truth….woman are perfectly imperfect.  We are strong through our vulnerabilities & weaknesses,  we can laugh through our tears and even someone with the most damaged heart can love again. Juliana is the perfect example of this and I just absolutely loved her.  To watch her go on the journey she does in Unpredictable and find her way to exactly where she deserves to be was wonderful.

It’s about finding strength that you didn’t even realize you had and knowing you are deserving of your own HEA.  I challenge you to read this story and not have tears in your eyes throughout…I couldn’t.  It was overwhelmingly soul-stirring in exactly the way I want a story to be and what I expect from reading a book by Jenna.  I won’t say this is my favorite book in the Love in LA Series (that would be like picking a favorite child) but Unpredictable is really special. It is a book you re-read all the time when you are searching for something to remind you that soulmates and happily ever afters do still exist. ⁣⁣

Harrison is surprised when his daughter tells him about her engagement and his reaction upsets her. To try and make amends he schedules a meeting with one of the top wedding planners not realizing he and the wedding planner had already had an unexpected first meeting.

    The romance between Julianna and Harrison happens despite either of them really looking for a relationship. Their journey was sweet and poignant, filled emotion and laughter. A very engaging read.

Well written but the ending has me still frustrated after a week wondering if it really was Ryan on the beach and why would she go all the way to Thailand and not find out for the closure? Maybe he had amnesia? If she is like me she will spend the rest of her life wondering. Yeah I know it is just a book LOL.
