So, there’s good news and bad news.

First, the good news. I managed to send Sheriff Corwin back to hell from whence he came. Everyone cheered until they realized that I might’ve paid a pretty hefty price to accomplish that feat.

But that’s not the worst of it. Because of my handicap, I accidentally set free a force that should never have seen the light of day… even the first time around. Now that force is on the hunt for all paranormals and Quinn and I are his holy grail!
My friends have sworn to keep me safe, but you can’t protect someone 24/7 for the rest of their days.

My new handicap seems to be a devastating blow at first, but even disadvantages can provide one with some amount of comfort. I may or may not be pleased if my transformation ends up being everlasting. It’s funny what you can adapt to when necessary!

No one is sure if my change might be permanent or temporary, however, we all know that the only way to end this monster’s rampage is ultimately up to me. You can never plan for these occurrences, that’s what sometimes makes magic so unpredictable.

    Defeat an undead sheriff, take a break? Sorta, but not how you'd want to, under the circumstances you expected. This one has another 'oops', but Gwen and crew come together to save the day. Gwen and Quinn even get some sweet private time.

    Great series, can't wait for the next one to see all Gwen can REALLY do once she gets it all under control!

    This is book four in the Love in the Shadows of Salem series. It’s an exciting mixture of time travel, magic, and a reverse harem twist. Well-developed story line and characters. It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. Twists and unexpected turns keep you reading. The world building is detailed and imaginative. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

    This is the 4th book in the Love in the Shadows of Salem series by Peggy Chan. She hit another out of the ballpark. I have loved every book of Peggy's that I have read. As you read her books it leaves you wanting more and more. This book finds Gwen temporarily blinded by a spell and learning to depend on her friends for help. She accidentally raises a member of the Walker clan from the founders of the town who died in the 1960's but was not buried with the family. They felt he was evil. He claims to be the reincarnation of La Voisin and that Quinn helped the law get her. She wants revenge through this Walker person. Together they take care of business. She finds that she isn't as strong without her friends.

    I received this book as an Arc and am leaving this review voluntarily.

    Keep turning the pages to see what happens with Gwen who has, in this book, inadvertently raised another soul from the dead. Now both Gwen and her vampire lover, Quinn, find themselves targets of the newly raised criminal, a very bad man who targets the paranormal community.
