Nancy Pennick grew up and still lives in Northeast Ohio. After a career in teaching, she began writing young adult and romance books. The Waiting for Dusk series includes a historical fiction prequel, Broken Dreams. The sci-fi romance series about time travel has three books-Waiting for Dusk, Call of the Canyon and Stealing Time. The Swedish influences in the series come from her mother whose parents emigrated from Sweden.

Her second YA series-Twenty Nine-had slowly developed over time. One Leap Year, an idea came to her and she created the characters and story based on that special day, February 29.

Nancy has branched out into historical romance with her Clan MacLaren series and romantic suspense, The Secret Billionaire Society and Billionaire's Bride series.

Nancy is married and has one son who helps her when she's challenged by tech, which may be more often than he likes!

    Vanessa and the rest of the Initiation gang certainly know how to crack down and find justice. I do feel that I need to go back a read the previous series to get more info on Vanessa’s back-story. It is briefly mentioned throughout the book, but some more info would be nice to put things into context. I really liked how much faith she had in Nash, in believing that he wouldn’t leave her at the alter and for trusting in their love for one another. It was really sweet and touching.

    Vanessa is a suspenseful tale of Nash, a millionaire who fails to show up for his wedding, and Vanessa, his bride to be who knows something has happened to him. The storyline has intrigue, kidnapping, and a display of trust. The characters are unique. I enjoyed this book.

    I've read several books written by Nancy Pennick; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

    This is the first book in the Billionaire’s Bride Series; it is a stand-alone book. Vanessa is on the beach to get married but Nash never shows up; she refuses to believe he stood her up and starts searching for him.

    Give this one a definite miss. There is obviously a prior series somewhere, as obscure information keeps popping up from past happenings.
    There was no real suspense and the plot was not well thought out. Sorry.

    In the first chapter there didn’t seem to be a story but a lot of sex. I don”t mind sex in a story but I like to get interested in the story before it starts. I found that the story was not very well developed and I just couldn’t get into it.
