    However this book definitely warranted one. I am an avid reader of mafia books and have read previous books by this author, which I loved, BUT they had nothing on this one. As far as spice goes I’ve never read a book so spicy that doesn’t seem redundant with the same sex scenes happening on repeat. I usually get to a point where I skip the spicy scenes but I didn’t with this one. They were well written, versatile, but also very different from the normal scenes you read in mafia romance.
    The twists and turns in this book were so good that I didn’t see the ending coming. I usually figure out who the bad guy is and I was so sure it was Dutton and I was wrong!
    I already downloaded the next book but I can definitely say even if this wasn’t on KU I’d be buying the next one (something I also never do)
    Hats off to the author, I’ll be an avid reader after this one.

    Vengeful Lies is the first book in the Vengeful Lies series, and it's the next generation spinoff of the Lethal Vows series. 

    The story follows Jewel, a contract assassin, who is being paid to toy with Eli, the heir to the Monti mafia empire, before killing him. However, he is not an easy target, and the cat and mouse games between these two had me fully engrossed right from the start.

    These two were both lethal and ruthless, and their love/hate dynamic was on point. They were the perfect match for each other. I couldn't get enough of these them and loved seeing them fall for each other.

    The plot kept me turning the pages, and the banter was amusing. There were funny moments, tension, lots of spice, and a suspenseful element I absolutely. Add in the side characters who brought their own unique flair, and this story was one I couldn't put down. 

    This well-written tale was an excellent start to the series and was a highly entertaining tale. I can't wait to see what's next. I would definitely recommend this novel to mafia romance lovers.

    Eli Monti’s character screams power, perfection, and cleanliness. And Jewel Diamond is the type of woman who will happily carve her initials into his leg. I loved some “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” moments, a suspenseful build-up to a twist that kept me guessing. And supporting characters, and I’m eager to see if they get their own stories in the future.

    I’m excited to see what’s next in the Vengeful Lies Series.
