- Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2018I read this series via kindle unlimited and then I ended up buying the series, each book gets better. This is a series I will read over and over again. It's dark, intense, nail-biting, violent, twisted with love, courage, and excitement. I so enjoyed the books, from one to three and I learned a lot about poisonous flowers. This series was original, emotional, and well written. Do yourself a favor and reread it all, I am!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2018One and two were amazing because as much as u don’t want the bad stuff to happen and then me half of you is like no don’t do it. The other half is like do it so it’s a real story. Not sugar coated. Bad things happen and to make the story real you have to have the ugly and she went there. But.
But but but. The last book kinda fizzled for me. Otherwise I would have 5 star the full series. It got a little silly or soft. It’s still totally worth the read but I think it was too much wrapped up too quick and I don’t know I didn’t feel it as much as 1 and 2. Still awesome books. And should definitely read.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2018I have read so many Mafia type books. And this one goes to the top of my list. Ms Williams told a story that was so brutal, violent and dark. A world that no one would want to be a part of but in this story came Draco and Gia. The metamorphosis of their relationship is one that I will never forget. Gia is the daughter of one of the most notorious mafia leaders in the US. Draco, “El Jefe’” is the most wanted and dangerous man in the Mexican cartel. You will hate him throughout the series but you will also route for him in the end. I had a love /hate relationship for them both. They are both so flawed and messed up. But let me tell you, Gia, finds her strength and she is a awesome heroine. She deserves the title “La Patrona” Boss. “La Reina” Queen. This series is not for the weak. There are some scenes that are very disturbing. Lots of twists and turns and secrets. Great secondary characters. I was hooked. 5 star series
- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2017Sorry not sure what to say. For this reason I usually don't leave reviews. Which I know is an injustice to the authors so I'm trying to change it. This series was just wow. I read all 3 book in less that a day. Stayed up all night then sleep a few hours till I woke up to finish it. The story went so smooth and fast. It didn't feel like some other series I have read that seems to repeat stuff over and over kind of like a filler. The books are dark really dark but if you don't mind that kind of material this is the series for you. The author did such a great job hooking you in from the beginning of book one and keeping you interested till the end of book three. I recommend this series for anyone who doesn't mind triggering dark material.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2017This book so raw emotional and passionate.
Venom & Glory is the final book of trilogy. Venom & Glory picks up where book two ended with anger, mistrust and betrayed.
Darco El Jefe can't believe what Gia has done. He can't be around her or look at her. He wants to hate her and with his own hands to end her but same time he wants to love her. Gia trying everything for Darco to forgive her. She can't taking anymore that Darco doesn't want to be around her or look at her.
Draco makes decision to send her away with uncle but she doesn't know that she going awat. Draco need to be in good mind set to take his revenge toward Hernandez. For what she did to his cousin Thaigo. He doesn't want to be worry something with happened to Gia his Reina. He knows that Gia with be protected with her family.
When Gia arrives at her uncle house. She already make plans to find her way back to El Jefe. She so determined to prove her worth to him and help him to bring Hernandez down. Show her that she can't mess with El Jefe & La Partona.
I was perfect ending for El Jefe and his Reina. You won't be disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2020My least favorite books by this author.... And it is because dark romance is one of my favorite genres so I was looking forward to it but I don't feel like it was done right....
in previous books by this author the main female character can be a bit twisted in her goals. However I had a very hard time following the main female character's train of thought and feelings because I found the main male character to be just despicable and on unredeeming! It's not enough for the author to tell us that he has had a change of heart after delivering abuse after abuse after abuse and we watch the female character's mind warp and somehow begin to accept the abuse and blame herself to the point that now she is in love with a psychotic sadistic killer who is responsible for her being assaulted and ultimately raped.
I am utterly unable to forgive him for her and accept that she has feelings for him it just seems too fake for the story. I need my female heroines to get their retribution it it. It is not enough for the male character to experience pain externally from someone else like a villain when he has caused the heroin extreme pain himself. I need my authors to recognize all of the strife that the female character goes through and then give her revenge against the male character before she even has feelings of love. I feel in this instance that the main character Gianna was too stupid to live and that the main character Draco should have got a bullet at some point by Gianna before she had these feelings of Stockholm syndrome love. I didn't find any of the sex after the rape scene sexy because I had an inner resentment for Draco. I was not in touch with Gianna's emotions regardless of what the author was writing. I was left at the end feeling utterly disgusted by the couple and I was not happy for them, still felt he needed to die.
These are of course my opinions about the storyline.
The author of course has great writing style and a good editing team so that the story flows in that way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cartel saga
Third book in a series of books about a young woman coming to terms with her decisions. The storyline was very simple and gripping. It was dark, violent and entertaining. I guessed what would happen and it was just superb.
The characters grew and developed changing when the situation and experiences made them change. The dialogue was good too.
Absolutely loved this series, read over two evenings and it was difficult to put down.
Decided to buy more by this author as I loved their writing style and description. The storytelling was fantastic and I was pulled along for one heck of a ride.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best HEA
This trilogy was really good! Not something I would normally read but I got sucked in right away. It is dark and dirty but I loved Gianna and Draco. One of my favorite HEAs for sure.
