VICTOR: Her Ruthless Crush: The VICTOR Trilogy Book 1 (Ruthless Triad) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 2,083 ratings

*** An Amazon Top 20 Bestseller ***

No last name. Totally mysterious. He doesn't talk. He's insanely hot. And now...I'm supposed to be spending every Thursday with him???

When my dad asked me to tutor the son of an important business associate, I thought I was agreeing to teach a little kid.

Victor's definitely not a kid. In fact, it's hard to believe we're even the same age. He's way more powerful than any boy I've ever met.

Also, way more intense. He stares at me in this weird way. It almost feels like obsession.

But there's no way he could be attracted to me like I'm attracted to him. I'm just an overweight nerd with secret dreams I've never dared to tell anyone.

Until him.

I tell him all of my secrets.

But will I be able to handle it when I find out all of his?

★★★★★ This is my first book by Theodora Taylor and I am so impressed.
I went into this book completely blind, the only thing I knew was this was a Mafia romance. That's it! I loved it!
--Brittany, Goodreads

★★★★★ I don't know how to stop.
I don't know how to stop loving everything Theodora Taylor writes. I devoured this book. I was angry at the end because I don't know what to do. How can I survive knowing that I've binge-read the book instead of savoring it like a normal reader?
--MariAnne, Goodreads

★★★★★ Victor: Her Ruthless Crush is literally the best read to start my first day of March.

It was so much better than I expected and I can't even describe how much enjoyable it was. Like seriously, this book got me hooked from the first page till the last which I was able to finish in one seating.

I thoroughly love and enjoy reading this book!

And This book kind of leaves off on a cliffy. Fair Warning.

I enjoy that Theodora Taylor starts this off when they're kids. I really enjoy when authors does this since in my opinion it bring more to the story. A lot of character development is sure to happen, and also I just love childhood love story.

And speaking of childhood stories, theirs is sad, but Victor's is even more sad. Victor childhood story is one that we get somewhat of a taste of. The horrors that he face is one that is heart breaking, and it will either build you or tear you down. Now in Victor case it made him even more conscious of those around, and a hella lot stronger.

Now Dawn story is not as bad as Victors but still its sorrowful. She had to deal with her parents never listening to her wants, and opinion. Strike parents who believes they know what best for you and what you want doesn't matter. They.. ( more so her mother ) fat shames her a lot. Both of her parents tells her that her true dream of doing more with her amazing art work, will never go anywhere. And that she is going to be a doctor and she has no other choice on it. Its to the point when you as the reader do not like her parents. I mean part of me is like okay maybe they can turn this all around. But no, unless they see the error of their ways they are just bad parents.

I love how Dawn is very loyal and loving. Even though she getting shame by her mother for being on the heavier side. And being told that her grades are not food enough, she does what she has to do to try to go the college she wants. Not the one that her parents are trying to enforce her to go to, which is for her to become a doctor. But even though she is dealing with pushy and controlling parents, she is always thinking of her younger brother Bryson. Bryson, who not much younger then her, has dealt with a lot of bullying while in school. He is bisexual and gets bully and beat up a lot in school because of one person. But Dawn, like a big sister should, will always protect him, putting his safety before her own.

I really enjoy Victor and Dawn as a couple. They're very much clumsy around one another. I love reading from both of their point of views. And see how they stumble around to try to be with one another, and get the other to understand how they feel. I enjoy when they finally do get together since it leaves a smile on your face. All I can think about is young love, and giggle.

Now as they got older it makes you really wonder how love can really blossom. And how life really have a way in getting in the way of thing. Time can really change a person, and how much that person has grown all together. And boy you can see how much Victor and Dawn has grown. Dawn is more confidence and very, very, vocal. And Victor is more hard, and dark.

I also hope that there is a book about Hans and maybe Phantom in the future for this series. I feel like they are going to be something very interesting includes these two. One that is Victor Brother, and the other his cousin. Just exciting.

I cannot wait to get start the 2nd book of this series, I can tell we're in a for a treat. ❤

Dawn and Victor's story was truly a different kind of read than I thought this book would be .... it kinda puts you into the frame of mind as one poster said >>> "reminded me of Romeo and Juliet but with a twist but how wrong I was." .. Lets start with the Characters you have Dawn a 17 yr old american who is a mix of black and asian... so you instantly think a Beautiful person but she is described as thick and yet pretty, she has a little brother 2 yrs younger who we find is kinda scrawny but love boys .. and is therefore ridiculed for being a Homosexual from the japanese school kids ...Dawn, is the chubby American girl who did not fit in at the Tokyo Progressive school. A society that equates thinness with beauty. She had no friends. She just did not fit in and neither did her brother Byron who was bullied by the grandson of a crime boss. Her Father we are led to believe is also part of the crime mafia scene... so when she was asked to tutor another crime boss' son Victor, her whole life changed. She thought that no one as insanely handsome as he would be interested in her. But she was wrong.
He loved her spirit and how she related to him like no one ever had. She should have thought something was up when her father asked her to tell him anything that Victor communicated about. how could the father have let his daughter get in so deep and allowed her to get in harm's way.

Dawn is really not happy at all. She's not living the life she wants instead she is living her Mom's life The one the mom never got to live. We don't know what happened to Victor's mother.
The story kept my attention .....as it is full of drama...
Then we have an almost 19 yr old Victor.. the son of a crime lord as well yet he speaks thru sign language.. and is needing a tutor for ASL so ... He is introduced to Dawn.. and he is instantly attracted to her they eventuall seem to fall in Love and she gives Him her virginity and then well her dad sets her up as the fall gal for defeating the crime families from both sides.... and yep it ends so you have to read book 2 and most likely 3 to know everything ...
was an Oay book liked the twists and turns of these young peoples lives... but did not like I now have to read the other books to "get the whole story "

I loved Dawn and Victor story. Dawn was a fat girl that had no friends in Tokyo. Victor was a boy that couldn't talk but was a groomed son of a Dragon Head of the chinese mafia. Victor notice Dawn in one of the high night clubs in Tokyo one night. He attended with his father a meeting with the red diamond. Dawn was there, with her brother dancing and drinking. He was memerized of her innocence and ASL signing. Victor's Father notice his son distraction and confronted Victor. Victor told his father he wanted to learn ASL. Victor's Father confronted Dawn's father an arranged a meeting for lessons for Dawn to teach his son. Dawn's Father agreed and picked Dawn up from school out of the blue. He told her she would have to tutor a boy one of his boss associates son in ASL. Dawn and Victor built a form of friendship that eventually led to a relationship. Dawn's Father was not in a illegal crime as a bodyguard enforcer but something else. He setted Dawn up the whole time. He was working undercover as a informant to bring down the whole Red Diamond family including Victor and his Dad. Dawn was unaware of her father's intentions. Which she later finds out about much late. Victor blames Dawn and thinks she was just playing a role of acting like she loved and wanted a future with him. It is a must read. You have to read the book to find out why Victor thinks that about Dawn. I can't wait for the second book!!!

I read a lot of books on Kindle but this is going to be my first written review. I haven’t read a book this entertaining in so long. An innocent teen romance, a fierce protector, family expectations and loyalty and a plot twist I did not see coming. This book had everything I love about stories. It was well written and progressed along a nice timeline. Cheers to the author because this something I would love to see on screen.

Story rushed really fast! Went from first meeting between Victor and Dawn, to months later. Then a bit of a pause where they finally are together but her dad ruins his family and she's like sticking by her dad after everything Victor did for her brother and choosing her over his family. Then it jumps again to 4years later, Victor has lost everything and she carried on with her life like nothing, even going along with what her mother wanted her to do instead of following her own dream. Then Victor's back forcing her to marry him still, as 'punishment' then it ends before that even happens and you have to buy book 2. Um... No. Not even going to bother!
Really silly school girl stuff. Makes no sense! 1 star for trying but even that is a stretch!

Well, Theodora is one of those authors that lets you drop everything you're doing and everything you're reading, to enjoy the new release. And girl, it's just nice, dramatic, and incredible. This book has a very serious but extremely intoxicating character. Of course, this story was already expected, when we had a glimpse into the best story I have ever read, and look that I am that reader who reads at least twenty books a year. But I find myself re-reading Luca and Amber, at least one more time since it was released, and this year was no different. But also as a group, I'm looking forward to the story of Dr. Olivia Glendaver, (I even dreamed of it). What to expect then? Freak out through the scenes of the next chapters, and try not to end your nails, with Victor and Dawn's story.
