WILD FIRE: Melanie takes on a "Cinderella" challenge...but her prince is anything but charming. (Beaumont Brides Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.1 out of 5 stars 191 ratings

Melanie Beaumont, youngest member of the famed Beaumont acting dynasty, is tired of being cast as a dizzy blonde "princess". Turning down yet another role, she's challenged by an out of work acting friend to do a cleaning job like him. If she can keep it up for a month he'll make a donation to charity. If she can't, she'll have to pay.

It starts badly. Her boss is a bully, - she hates out of work actors - but she's short-handed when an emergency job comes up and Melanie is sent to clean the apartment of the arrogant Jack Wolfe.

When his equally arrogant girlfriend turns down a trip to the West Indies in favour of a cover shoot for Vogue, he takes the "happy to help" logo on her uniform t-shirt at face value, Jack contacts her agency to engage for a week for a major cleaning job and takes her instead, as cover for a trip which is less about pleasure and more about a takeover bid.

Her "Cinderella" transformation for the trip does not throw him. She may be out of work, but she's an actress and clearly a very good one. He's seen her with her old friend and knows she's hiding something. A week on a tropical island is going to give him all the time he needs to discover what, exactly, she's up to, working as his cleaner. The fact that he was attracted to her spikey personality long before her transformation is proving to be a complication...

Beautiful youngest sister Melanie takes a chance, dons a disguise, and goes to work as a cleaner, giving up her acting career for a full year. When she is employed to clean Jack's apartment, the wealthy business man cannot figure why he is attracted to this mousey unkempt girl. Jack arranges a trip to a resort and won't accept Melanie's decline to accompany him. They soon fall in love long before he knows her true identity. This story of the last Beaumont brides is very engaging.

A loving tender story of love building from a spark to the full blown love and ultimate ending of a life of love and family together was so intriguing it kept me wanting to push foward to the loving end. I liked it so much I continued to read the other books that were before and follwed.

Not a bad read - I like getting involved with the characters but like all her previous books, the ending is too far fetched and ends so suddenly. They realize they love each other, make love, then immediately get married.
Wish she would expand on the romance part of the story instead of ending the book when it finally arrives.

The author listed her first book in the series for free, which was a great way to find a new favorite author. Her second book and this third book in the series continued with the story line which was great. Wild horses couldn't keep me away. Thanks again Liz.

I really enjoyed all three of the "Beaumont Brides" series. The story lines were all good. My only problem with them was the typos or mis-
use of words. That was a bit disconcerting.

I have enjoyed every single one of the Beaumont Brides and this was a terrific read. There are a lot of typo errors here and there but they just don't take away from the over-all story. It's worth it to read in between the lines.

I've often wondered how it would feel to be famous, talented and beautiful. I see even they have their problems and challenges. This story levels the playing field.

I love happy endings with wonderful endings!

This is the third book in the series of Beaumont Brides and it doesn`t disappoint. It follows the story of the third sister Melanie. The hero is handsome and rugged and troubled as all good heroes should be. It`s a great read and I think it`s well worth the money too.

Absolutely brilliant. Very often when you read a series they are not all good but the books in this series are first class. Characters were woven well around the story.
