    Shaun and Drew have a special love and hate relationship. His her hero and a person she's been hating for years. She's convinced that she doesn't like him however he's the only one who has given her everything she needs.

    Drew knows she's trouble and he doesn't want to cross the line. She's a wonderful temptation he can't resist. She is sassy and mouthy and he loves it. He knows she's attracted to him.

    This is a wonderful story of friendship and forgiveness. Drew is explosive and determine to protect Shaun. He knows she's hurting and he does everything in his power to make her happy.

Now Shaun on the other hand is a mess, She's A brat that gets everything she wants and revenge on her mind, but she's also misguided but for some reason Warden fells hard. They have that I hate you thing going on but they make a perfect match. I'm looking forward to hearing more about their relationship in the near future. I love author Lynn Burke, she has the ability to make you love her characters, she doesn't give you a story, she gives you tale to think about for days, She's one of my top fave authors, well done Author Lynn Burke!

    More like 2.5 -3 stars. I am only giving it a three because I finished it. I also am considering at least two more in the series just to read the stories of the other brothers. I really liked Ryker (Book 3 that I haven't read).

    Here's the problems that I saw:
    -I was okay with the back story and how the characters are originally connected. Drew is Shaun's father's former best friend. I just thought that once the action started, there would be more emotions based on that relationship. It just seemed to be an after thought when there should have been more red flags in the beginning.

    -For an alpha male, Drew is weak in that regard. He let's Shaun run over him and ends up chasing her into dangerous situations. I am surprised that the MC actually backed him up on this one as she wasn't really old lady material.

    -Mine - I love when an alpha uses Mine to convey the dynamic between the two main characters. It just looses it appeal when the male uses it over and over without any recognition from the female. He was definitely more invested than she was so at the end when they do get together, it just doesn't make sense.

    -Shaun's a brat. She's emotionally immature, and there were several times that I wanted to smack her for Drew. Okay, so you think the guy ruined your life, and you want to make him hurt. I get that. I just felt that there was no a-ha moment where she actually thinks she might like this guy. She liked his activities but not him. When she finally confesses that she's willing to try, she specifically says that Drew will just have to deal with her as she grows up because she's going to make mistakes. Uh no, you shouldn't want to hurt the ones who stand by you.

    -I hate when a heroine runs, gets in trouble, and then the hero has to bail her out. It happens back to back, and I just rolled my eyes at that point. It was almost a dnf at that point.

    I want to read the other books in the series because I enjoyed the personalities of the other brothers who are shown. However, they're not on Kindle Unlimited, and I am not sure I enjoyed this one enough to actually pay for the rest.
