About the author

Helga Hopkins grew up in Switzerland and has happy memories of long hot summers canoeing on the River Rhine and playing pirates with her brother and sisters.
Helga now lives in Southern England with her husband and ginger cat Wizzy-Woo. Her fun-loving feline is the inspiration for her children's picture books about a gang of furry friends and their hilarious adventures around the neighbourhood.
The real Wizzy-Woo likes to keep an eye on Helga by sleeping in the nice warm gap between her keyboard and the computer. She is currently working on new adventures for both Wizzy-Woo and her other popular children's character, Captain Blownaparte.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2019This is an adorable book. I love how Wizzy has so many friends and is friendly even to the grumpy neighbor cat. Truly a sweet story every child will enjoy. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2019Another great Wizzy Woo story. This time we find our favorite kitten living his best life with his friends after a big snow storm. As a curious kitten he is experiencing snow for the first time. As he and his fellow kitten friend are exploring in the snow, they happen upon their friend Molly Hedgehog who is fast asleep in the freezing snow.
They have to find a way to get her to her nest safely without injuring her or themselves on her prickly needles.
A cute adventure for young children. This is my third Wizzy Woo story and I enjoyed them all. Y only issue is the author should stick to the same illustrator to give Wizzy and friends a consistent look. In each book he has looked different and I wonder if this might be confusing for young children.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this story.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2019This' the third Wizzy-Woo book that I've read, and it was just as delightful as the other two. How does one help a friend with prickly thorns all over their body? That's what Wizzy and his friends have to figure out in order to rescue their friend, Molly, the hedgehog. I don't want to give anything away, but how they accomplish their goal was quite fun, and I'm sure the younger set will love this short yarn.
I am leaving this honest review in exchange for a free ARC digital copy, provided by Hidden Gems ~
- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2019I was given this book for free to read and review. Oh we just love this adorable kitty and his friends. My two year old grandson giggles and laughs every time Wizzy does something funny and since we live where there is snow he loved this book because he could relate to it so much. My favorite animal is the hedgehog so he was so excited that Wizzy had to help one in the story. The story is sweet and keeps your attention and the illustrations are supurb. We can't wait for the next adventure.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2019I voluntarily reviewed this story after receiving a free copy. I read the story of Wizzy-Woo with my 7 year old friend. He loved the cats in the story, as well as the story of their trip into the snowy garden. While he liked the story, he was challenged by some of the words (examples: annoyed, interrupted, astonished and gingerly). We had to stop so I could explain the words and put the story in context. The phrase that was most confusing was on page 22: "Bivitt careered along the path." I thought the word should be careened, not careered. Other than the trouble he had reading the story with such tough words, he liked the story. Perhaps this book is better suited to an older child?
- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2019I read this book with my 4 year old granddaughter...not sure that she really understood the whole story, some of the words were well beyond her understanding, but she enjoyed looking at the very colorful illustrations...seeing the kittens first time in the snow, "tobogganing" down the hill on a tea tray, helping their friend the hedgehog get to a warm place to sleep...I will definitely be looking into the remainder of the Wizzy-woo books for some more Nana and me time...
This was a voluntary review of a book I received free from Hidden Gems

5.0 out of 5 stars Ein Bilderbuch das gefällt!
