What happens in paradise… stays in paradise!
Hotel guest relations manager Jasmine, also known as a Love Alchemist, adores her job at the exclusive Spanish Love Hotel. She prides herself on helping guests meet their perfect match. But matchmaking is absolutely forbidden between staff. And so Jasmine must resist the attraction she feels every time she’s around delectable sous-chef, Alejandro. The problem is, she knows the feeling is mutual. But she cannot jeopardise her job or break the rules.
Because all her hard work is about to be recognized when she’s asked to set up the new branch of the hotel in Jamaica. With an ocean between her and temptation, Jasmine is ecstatic. This is just the distance she needs to keep her feelings under control. But there is one kink in her plan… Alejandro has been asked to join her. For two whole weeks!
Under the sultry Jamaican sun, keeping it strictly professional becomes impossible when romance is literally all around them! So they agree a (secret) holiday fling may help satisfy their desires and then they can move on. After all, what happens in paradise stays in paradise… right?
What happens in paradise, stays in paradise...

- Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2025This was a cute fun romance, but that boss was something else. Can't wait to continue with this series
- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2025I really enjoyed this quick read. The characters and banter was beautifully written and can I just say that I absolutely squealed over the ending?
This book was captivating - right from the beginning (I mean really though, the starting chapter? The opening scene? It was absolutely epic and had me rolling with laughter. Then the absolutely delicious tension between Alejandro and Jasmine just made me squeal. It was delicious in how forbidden it was, and having both characters point of views made the experience even better.
The settings of this book were absolutely top notch - Spain and Jamaica both are places that I love and the vivid descriptions of places in Jamaica were written so vividly and beautifully - the dancing that was described was also really well done as I could picture it perfectly.
The entire romance was just so incredibly beautiful and believable; the slow burn felt real and just all of their reasons for trying to resist were very believable and wonderful. I truly look forward to more books by Olivia Spring as she is a fantastic author!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2025Olivia Spring has never disappointed me. And she still hasn’t ! What happens in paradise is a sexy, steamy and fun story about Jasmine who’s supposed to be focused on her career and Alejandro who also needs to focus on his career. When they get put into a forced situation where they not only have to work together, but also test out romance, the sparks start flying as if they never left. AND I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. The funniest part is that they are attracted to one another, and have been for a long time.
I adored the way this story was set up. Going to Jamaica to build a new love hotel, and testing our excursions to see if couples will like them is PRICELESS! It was the perfect set up and I just loved how it kept me on the edge of my seat. Jasmine, tried so hard to deny everything she was feeling, but the charm of Alejandro kept reeling her back. II loved both characters so much. Their backstories really made me understand why they tried so hard to deny their feelings. Alejandro had lost so much, and Jasmine did as well. It was beautiful to see them work through this together and build a connection of their own.
Jasmine did slightly annoy me about the age thing, but I could understand her fears. But that man just wanted to love her and she needed to just let him. Lol
I don’t like Hazel. It was also very wild how she micromanaged everything.
Overall, this read was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I loved the culture aspect of the story. It was very fun to see Jamaican culture being infused in the story. From the food, to the locations, and facing. It felt very nice to see this in the story.
Thank you Olivia for this wonderful read!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2025Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC!
I loved this book almost as much as I did the first one. Following their story after being able to slightly see it take form in the first book was so fun! I cannot wait for the next book in this series! This author is know on my auto buy list and I plan to read her backlist as well!

What Happens in Paradise by Olivia Spring is the second book in The Love Hotel series. Readers were briefly introduced to Jasmine and Alejandro in book one, The One That Got Away. Ms. Spring uses the tropes of age-gap (she’s older), proximity, workplace romance and vacation/destination romance. Jasmine is a Love Chemist and Alejandro is a talented sous-chef at the elegant hotel devoted to matchmaking. Sparks fly whenever they are together, but ironically their workplace has a strict no fraternization policy! Jasmine and Alejandro have both lost at love for different reasons, will a forced trip to paradise bring new love into the equation or end in disaster? Ms. Spring excels at fun and breezy low angst loI received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.ve stories with engaging characters and entertaining settings. In this story, readers got to visit Spain and Jamaica, and the descriptions were stellar.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2025In the first book, Jasmine, the love alchemist, helps every guest who arrives at the love hotel. Now she finds herself in a difficult situation, she loves her job but, she also fancies Alejandro, the sous-chef or the “Cuisine Prince”. The hotel policy is that co-worker canoodling is not encouraged, every one who did it got fired, so when an opportunity to go to Jamaica for the opening of the new branch of the Love Hotel, she is excited she got the promotion she deserved, but she also will be spending two weeks in the Caribbean destination with the sous-chef!
Spicy fun romance that I really enjoyed. Specially the new setting, the love hotel concept is genius.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2025I usually adore Olivia Spring’s work, but I struggled through this one.
This is the second book in the Love Hotel series. I absolutely adored the first book. While you’re not supposed to need to read the first one to pick up this one, I feel you won’t be able to catch up if you haven’t read the first book. This book jumps into a “teenage crush” type of dialogue from the start and doesn’t really stop that type of style until midway through the book.
The ending was good, but I honestly can’t recommend this as one of Olivia’s better books.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2025Olivia Spring always delivers such addicting and deliciously spicy rom coms. I loved escaping to the tropical paradise of Jamaica and getting to know Jasmine and Alejandro. They try to maintain a professional working relationship even though the attraction is so strong between them. I loved all the tension and sparks as they keep finding themselves in romantic situations due to their job assignments. I couldn’t get enough of these two and things get so spicy! So many fun tropes packed into one book! You’ll be swooning just like I was!

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful, sizzling romance…..
This book is actually book two from ‘The Love Hotel’ series but can very easily be read as a stand alone but does contain a few recurring characters and continuing storyline. And to be quite honest they are such amazing books why wouldn’t you want to read them all!!
Right from the very first page i was absolutely cackling with laughter and i knew instantly that this book was going to pull me in and swallow me up whole!
Even at the very beginning of the story i was intrigued and couldn’t wait to find out what Jasmine’s back story was - i just needed to know all about her!!
This book is set in London, Spain and Jamaica and through Olivia’s wonderful writing style, i honestly felt as though i was there and i could imagine all these amazing places.
Alejandro was not only very swoonworthy but was extremely funny too. He was hilarious when he kept getting confused over different words and phrases!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and really enjoyed being immersed in all its heartwarming goodness.
It was funny and romantic and hot and spicy and sensitive and full of the most amazing sounding food!
What Happens In Paradise contains some of my most favourite tropes - age-gap, only one bed, workplace relationship and each of them was written perfectly.
This was an absolutely wonderful, sizzling read and perfect for a spot of armchair travel too…….

5.0 out of 5 stars another great book in the series
Once you get hooked into the story you won’t want to put it down. Just as spicy as the last book and just as brilliant.
