    The last book ended on a cliffhanger and dont expect this to be different. Darius and Toni try to find each other and hope to get back the one thing lost for so long. Something that may break them both. Toni provides the way to get some of the details of where he is and then like all else, hearts will break. Including mine. This is a full fledged wonderful saga of two people surrounded by enemies and confidants that want opposite outcomes. Im still betting on love. I will remember this book for so long to come. The mystery, intrigue and hard fought love of two people not destined to be together but fighting to be loved. This is a five star plot with great characters!, spice, death, destruction and love. Heartbreaking love.

    This book had so many unexpected twists I didn’t see coming. I love when an author can spin a tale that keeps me guessing. If you’re still here for book two then you know Toni & Dare’s relationship is unique and that doesn’t change in book two. They still love to hate each other but we find out the depth of their attraction, their past and their love. But be prepared- if you love MercyAnn this book will leave you salivating for her next one.

    I had to read the first book twice because I was so confused and because I needed a refresher as to the story line so I could read the second book. After the second go I had really high hopes for this book. It started out great until it because mostly rehashing scenes from the first book. Like verbatim, copied/pasted into this one. I mean I get recalling things that happened previously but repeating what seemed like chapters was a bit much. It almost felt like the author did that to beef up the page count. This book also felt more like an action movie than a romance.

It’s a good story though and I haven’t put it down and I’m very much invested. I don’t know how I let an author scare me so much about whether a character has died or not, but I am. Every. Single. Time. I also finished this book within 24 hours (only took longer because it’s Monday and I had to work). I’m addicted to these characters and I cannot wait for the third book!

Now I gotta go read that because I just can’t get enough!
