    I know this can't be the end for this series!! Both were on the cups of adulthood, feeling their first attractions, feelings of love and lust, and an misunderstanding kept them apart for eight long years. After being apart for so long, they meet again, hurt feelings still stand in the way of their happiness, but their feelings still linger. They had to battle a lot in the wilderness to survive, they learn they had to let go of past hurts, and to give in to their feelings that went dormant but was never gone. The heat, the passion these two exuded from the pages came alive for me as a reader, it couldn't have gotten any hotter than that, I truly truly love this book. Author Lynn Burke burst in with this brand new series that I'm hoping and praying won't be the last book in the series, I don't know what else to say, I am speechless on how amazing this series is, phenomenal series.

    This one had a rougher start start for me, I struggled to like the main female lead, but in the end I fell in love with the characters and their story. Annie was frustrating. She was wishy washy and unnecessarily mean. It made me struggle to get into the story compared to the previous books. About 40% or so, I started to come around to Annie, and when she stopped be a big old B, I really loved the chemistry between her and Roan. Roan I loved from the beginning. I felt sorry for him at the beginning with Annie. He didn't deserve her harsh meanness, and he was nothing but devoted. I guess that means the author did a great job getting me invested. Overall, I certainly enjoyed it.

    The third book in this series was incredible. Annie is a sassy, spunky woman who fell in love a long time ago with her perfect man only something happened and instead of facing the love she ended up hating him.

    Roman was stupid, nothing but an animal chasing the girl he wanted. Chased her missed her then chased her for more, now she hated him and he hated himself. What was purely an accident, destroyed what could've been or did it? Great story.

    I'm officially weeping because this magnificent series has come to an end!!
    I'm so in love with captivating Wilderness of Alaska, these alluring characters that reside there, battling the terrain and scrounging for their own turf.

    The story is On Fire!!! sizzling hot romance of two tortured hearts heightened the craving to meteoric heights, till I panted for them!
    Fire happens twice and changes the course of the young couple-Roan Kelly and Annie Charan life. It seals their Fate with molten plastic once and next time destroys their life work to ashes.
    Both times Annie closes up and Roan drowns in guilt.

    "He’d broken my heart first, brought on that first inkling of mistrusting love. My ex, Justin, just hammered the truth home. Two men. Two broken hearts. I’m so done. It’s me time."

    The struggle of the couple was excruciating to watch and feel, their "He Lives Me/He Loves Me Not" syndrome created unnecessary distances, giving them heartache for no reason. But as they say, you gotta heal yourself first before you heal others.

    "Our time had ended—once again because of a fire. Roan had chased down my heart, had taken my body, my love—but too much stacked against us."

    This was so true in Roan's case. Annie's scars were more visible, but they hurt Roan more. Born & Bred in the wild, he's not articulate enough, not verbal enough to deliver or respond to the signs of love.
    He takes by force and gives no margin. He learns a tough lesson in the matters of the heart and withdraws, his body not getting the memo though. It comes alive when Annie is near.
    It's a vigorous story highlighting the tenacity and resilience of soul mates to fight their past, trying find their way back to each other. Burke doesn't let them on an easy path to recovery, throwing all physical and emotional obstacles in their way. Annie shines and soars in the ambitious sky like a goshawk, touching her success on passionate wings.

    "She let me go, so I did the same, hoping my little goshawk would own the skies and find someone worthy of her, someone who could support her in ways I couldn’t."

    To see her grow a spine and stand for herself was a feminist's dream come true. Such a refreshing change from doormat heroines in contemporary romance world nowadays.
    Roan had the softest of heart with the hardest of "Python" i ever did see. He doesn't yet realise the true strength of his love or his passion but Annie awakens the gentle beast in him.
    And their love...Omg...it was so tender & forceful at the same time.
    It's like they both couldn't help each other but steal the breaths and enamour readers in the process.
    I'm rambling cuz I'm so, so consumed by this book, this entire series of Midnight Sun.
    I hope we pget Kari and Junior's story to read soon

    Roan and Annie are the kids from couples in the previous stories in this series, and by the way, how awesome is it to get to read about them . The kids have known each other for ages, as they grow up, in their teens, their hormones take over and someone steels a kiss that leads to a tragic event. They don’t see each other for years, but in the back of their minds they will never forget their first love.

    Annie is spending time alone in her father homestead, Roan is given the task to check on her, as they see each other for the first time, and being that they are quite older, all those feelings come back with a vengeance.

    I loved this book for many things, second chances is my favorite type of story, and these two definitely deserve that. Another reason is the writing, Ms. Burke writes some amazing characters that just grab at you. Annie is such a strong and sassy character. The storyline also got me hooked until I turned the last page. That epilogue was the icing on the cake.
