Wings of Snow (Fae of Snow & Ice Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 11,452 ratings

I should have won the Rising Queen Trial. The crown that was destined to be placed upon my head now rests atop the vindictive witch who sought to steal my throne.

Left with no choice, I flee from the Solis continent even though my heart is shattering at leaving my love behind. But I can’t return to Solisarium until I’ve reclaimed my affinities and am able to fight with the crown prince at my side.

Yet enemies lie everywhere, and those I thought I could trust prove to be the biggest traitors of them all.

Trapped far from the icy north, I struggle to survive while learning who I’m destined to become.

One thing I know—victory comes to those who are worthy—if only I can achieve the destiny the gods have created for me.

Wings of Snow is book three in Fae of Snow & Ice, a four-book enemies-to-lovers fae fantasy romance series that takes place in Krista Street’s Supernatural World. This series contains steamy romance, a strong female fae who refuses to bow, a morally gray prince whose brutality knows no bounds, and a deadly tangle of royal strife and intrigue.

Krista Street's Fae of Snow and Ice books have been a wonderful experience
I love the characters and the plot twist and I stayed engaged throughout.

Ilara narrowly escaped her fate at the hands of a conniving king, and went with her sister to another fae realm.
There they have to find a way to remove the binding on her magic, before figuring out what is causing the Orem of the land to disappear.

Norivus has been ordered by his father to marry another, but it’s not something he plans to take sitting down. That means he needs to find Ilara, figure out what is taking the magic out of the land, and discover who is behind it all.

Book three picks up from the cliffhanger ending of book two, and sets us up for the final showdown in book four. There are quite a few revelations in this book, as our fated couple fight against powers that would endeavour to work against them, and even betray them.
This particular book is a lot more action and magic filled than most of the others in the series, and it also amps up the steam quite a bit too, as the former enemies finally figure everything out.

This is an enjoyable series, with a cast of intriguing characters (including a few that have crossed over from other series by the author), and set in an interesting world.
If you are a fan of fantasy romance, or contemporary fantasy (especially if you enjoy enemies to lovers or fated mates tropes), then you will enjoy this series.

We begin with Ilara, who is with Drachu on the islands. I'm sad she had to leave Prince Norivun behind. But things didn't happen as they were supposed to, and I want to know why.

Interestingly, this third book is a dual POV, whereas the first two were single POVs. We do get Norivun's point of view in this book. He is seething and, without a doubt, has a right to be, but damn if I don't love when he gets angry.

The Gods are brought into this story, and the Lochen Fae have a different way of life than the Solis Fae. The story gets suspenseful as Prince Norivun searches for Ilara, who is on an adventure of her own. Neither knows what will happen; instead, they live by moments and clues.

This story is a fairytale retelling of Ilara's powers. It is action-packed and adventurous. While one issue is resolved, others are still hanging. Still, at least we get a loving, happy moment between Ilara and Prince Norivun.

This book does end on a slight cliffhanger, and the fourth and final book in this series has yet to be released.

I absolutely love how far Ilara and the Prince have come. In this story, they go from separated, heartbroken, and determined. The author indeed created the perfect opposite characters to capture your heart. They may be Fae, but the natural powers are out of this world. The suspense continues as they drive to right the wrong in Solis and, of course, have their happy ever after.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best of the series so far
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 17, 2025
This book really picked up the pace of the story of Ilana and Norivum and the fate of the Solis realm, which had felt slow and predictable in the first 2 books.
Having a second POV definitely helped make this feel a slightly more adult book - a welcome distraction from llana's voice which, for me, is irritatingly immature ( how many times can someone 'pick their nails', 'bite their lip', be embarrassed and say "Blessed mother"! - ick!!). The male narrator in the audio version is satisfyingly gravelly and again a relief from the female narrator who gives the FMC a lightweight teenage voice.
Overall: more adventure, different realms, little bit more spice.
