Winter's Heart: A Heat of Love Bonus Story Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 110 ratings

Winter-fox always brings Tristan the best gifts

Tristan wakes every winter holiday to find a present that delights him or teaches him an important lesson.

Learn more about the character of Tristan,
Bitter Heat’s Kerry and Janus’s son, in this short winter holiday-themed story. This small bonus book doesn’t contain the heat level of the full-length novels in this series, but it has all the cozy, hopeful warmth for a sweet holiday read. While it ends on a romantic note, the story does not contain a romance arc.

This story is
not a standalone and is best read as an addition to the Heat of Love series, preferably after reading Bitter Heat. But if you should happen to read it out of order, you can find the rest of the books on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited.

After reading the previous highly emotional book titled Winter’s Truth, which I personally didn’t enjoy (but you should read it and form your own opinion about it), this book, Winter’s Heart, rectified the unbalanced feeling I had after reading Winter’s Truth.

This is a lovely story and it gives me a feeling that all may turn out for the better regarding the heartbreak that beautiful Riki experiences in the previous book (Winter’s Truth).

I can’t wait to read more books in this series.
I’m completely lost in its breathtaking and magical world!

It was sweet to see Janus and Kerry’s son grow tied with their winter holiday season. I loved how it ended.

This story and the characters within it grabbed my attention hard. Tristan and his love for animals, and his attachments to place and people sang out to me. The feeling of not quite fitting in is so familiar, I've had it all my life. I understand, and feel with him. It takes good writing and top notch people skills to do that, and this author has them.

This was such a sweet holiday story that harkened back to the previous books and opened the door of possibilities for future stories. There was a light, fluffiness to this little novella that was so enjoyable. I can't wait to read more.

Such a lovely continuation of Tristan’s growth!
Beware that for full enjoyment must be read after book 3 of the Heat of Love series (Janus and Kerry story)

What a wonderful, sweet addition to the Heat series. For fans, this is a treat to see what becomes of the children born in the main books.

This novella, part of the Heat of Love series, is a look into various times in the childhood of Tristan, the oldest son of Kerry and Janus. While it's not a romance, since the MC is a young person, it hints at a beautiful upcoming romance. It also updates the lives of his parents and grandfather. The family is close, loving, and peaceful, which sets a tone for the book. It is low-angst with lots of symbolism in Tristan's holiday encounters with his semi-pet wild cat. It's a must-read in the Heat of Love series, which is best read in order. I can't wait to see what comes next!

OMG! This Novella follows Tristian’s childhood through his 21st year. You’ve got to read the rest of the “Heat of Love” series and all other extras, bonus scenes and novellas before this one. I was a wreck after reading the story of Tristian’s parents, and I am not less emotional reading this one! I sincerely hope the author will carry on with Tristian’s, and the other second generation’s stories as this one was a delight to read and I’m not ready to let go.

I loved Tristan's story, you need to like Mpreg and fantasy, plus you should read the other books in the series to really appreciate this novella.

But well written and full of warmth.

Man, this book was adorable. Short and sweet.
Tristan's character is not someone I usually like (too nice lol) but I liked reading from his perspective.
I've read Winter's Truth first, so I felt a bit conflicted about Riki hahaha
