    A love that hit a speed bump....

    Cain and Calla are my ultimate favorite two characters. Cain..... Foul mouth, rugged, sexy and jaded. He had enough on his plate until his wife comes back.

    Calla..... Desperate to move on, heartbroken, and maybe still a little in love... Oh hell, a lot in love with her husband.

    Take a journey with me if you will.... A journey of a love that was pure, true and innocent. You'll feel it. Just as you'll feel the heartache. Take a walk with two people who have simply existed but now... Sometimes love just might now be enough.

    That being said, what a whirlwind of a story. All of the characters (including the hood rats) are very well developed that you get a personal sense of who they are and are meant to be. You'll find yourself experiencing every emotion that the author intended for you feel, and perhaps some more. I felt that the author succeeded in telling the story of two people who lost their way but by mere coincidence found it again. The overall plot will have you on the seat of your chair and wondering "what the hell is going on?" You'll feel the fury of the hurt, the angst and the sadness. Her development of the secondary characters were spot on and I didn't feel like she needed to "follow up" with a description. Simply put, this book will push the author to higher heights and her readers.... To the edge of their seat as they watch the story unfold in every single sexy, terrifying, and naughty word.

    One day i came home to a package and inside that package was a signed paperback from Kathy Coopmans. I have never met or talk to this author in my life so I am guessing maybe I won a contest somewhere but boy was it a pleasant surprise!!!

    Kathy Coopmans is a new to me author. I've seen her books around but with my busy schedule never got to chance to experience her awesomeness until The Wrath of Cain.
    The Wrath of Cain follows the story of Calla and Cain. I've always enjoyed a young love story however, I especially enjoyed this story as it was filled with drama, mystery and the love was fierce.

    Let me focus on Cain for a little while. I honestly must say i didn't like what he did to Calla but that did not stop me from falling head over heel in love with him. Alpha alert..........*swoon*....... MC club * double swoon*. I loved the Cain knew what he wanted and didn't care what anyone thought. His love for Calla was undeniable and I think this made the story interesting for me.

    Overall, this story was hot, interesting and kept me on my toes throughout the story. Enemies that I guest was lurking I was so right, secrets reveled and I wish the other book in the series was following this couple. Calla at times got on my nerves with how naive she was but other than that a really good story.

Calla found Cain with another woman on their wedding night and needing to escape, She moved to Canada to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer. After six years, Calla decided to move on and serve Cain with divorce papers that when her parents lies is revealed and the sh** hit the fan!!! Calla get more than she bargained for when she also learns that nothing in her life is as it seems. I remember my grandmother saying,"don't say you hate another person but dislikes their ways" well that's CRAP cause I truly hated Emerald a**!!!!! This book definitely had me on the edge of my seat and when the twists and turns came to light I was appalled!!! Will this revelation destroy them permanently? Will her safety be compromised now that she is home? Please pick up your copy of The Wrath of Cain and see how it all unfolds!! You will be amazed...

    Cain & Calla were star-crossed lovers. Their fathers hated each other and thus they weren’t allowed to spend time with each other, let alone date one another. Instead, they were forced to hide their relationship and sneak around. But at 18 years old, they thought that their parents would have to acknowledge their relationship if they were married, so they eloped. To say that their parents were less than happy is an understatement.

    After Cain goes to tell his father & step-mother, Calla shows up later only to find him in bed with another woman. She is devastated & heartbroken. She ends up leaving and going to college & law school out of country. We didn’t get to see any of these intermittent years, they were only briefly described. Then six years later she returns to Cain to have him sign divorce papers, but it doesn’t go as planned.

    There are betrayals, there is danger there is hot sex and intrigue. There is some loathing and love. Feelings and emotions are all over the place and at times, cause whiplash.

    I loved the premise of this book, but sadly, it missed the mark. I wished there was more time for us to see the relationship between Cain & Calla to develop when they were just high schoolers. I wanted to see the love blossom & grow between them. But I didn’t, so I didn’t really feel their soul-deep connection. Therefore, I didn’t really care for how quickly and easily she fell right back in with Cain & without much discussion. It was like, insta-love, insta-forgiveness, insta-now & insta-future. I just didn’t feel their love or connection.

    I got pulled into this book purely by the excerpt I had read for the release, I had to find out what could have happened to tear apart a young couple on their wedding day.

    Calla and Cain were childhood sweethearts and married behind their parents backs, that same afternoon they broke the news and Calla packed up her belongings before meeting Cain at his parents house, somewhere she had beer been. After meeting his dad and step mother Calla felt as though things would work out even though their families feud went back years.

    Upon finding Cain, her world fell apart and she ran, far away and stayed away for 6 years! Only returning for a divorce and to be able to have a fresh start in life. Only there was no way in hell Cain would divorce her.

    The story held my interest and had twists and turn I didn't expect and were shocking! I throughly enjoyed the storyline and found it fast paced and exciting.
