Austin Dragon is the author of over 30 books in science fiction, fantasy, and classic horror.     The latest book in Austin Dragon's Liquid Cool series is a great read. When you open this boo you are in for as wild a ride as the Cruz family! The whole family, Cruz, Dot, JR and little Kat get in on the action along with a collection of crusty Sci Fi writers and sundry others to get to the bottom of a murder on a tropical Caribbean island that has be made into a luxury resort with Jules Vern themed parks.

    I held off giving a review until I read all the books in this series and have to say they were all very enjoyable. Lots of action, humor, and quite good mysteries. Also, no swearing or sex, which is quite refreshing considering the genre. These books can be read by all ages with mom and dad not having to worry about their kids will read. Looking forward to more.

    I just re read the 9th book in the Liquid Cool Series by Austin Dragon, and I was absolutely right in the 1st read... I Love It! I have been Team #LiquidCool since the 1st book came out. I have been recommending each new book as they're released and the series as a whole all of these years at least once a week!

    Write Me a Murder on Jules Verne's Island the 9th book in the series was a fun, thrilling, crazy and intriguing ride. For me the bonus of the story was that this time Cruz brought his family along in his adventures... The kids are just adorable... ❤️

    Mr. Austin's skilled writing always enthralls me from beginning to end. I truly feel as if I've met these people and that I've gone along on these wild adventures. I can't wait for the next case 💖

    I’m a HUGE fan of Liquid Cool, I think it’s one of the best things in science fiction to come out in 20 years that wasn’t written by CJ Cherryh. All the right pieces are here, the wheels within wheels, the snappy dialogue, etc. but I just didn’t have the same “get to the next page so you can find out what happens” excitement that I have with all the previous Liquid Cool books. I even stopped midway to reread another book because I was losing interest. Austin Dragon is an outstanding writer, so it was a serious challenge to figure out why this book didn’t excite me as the previous ones have. For me, it’s leaving out most of the continuing characters and putting in new ones that just didn’t come to life for me. The author seems to have also lacked enthusiasm about these new characters that we will not see again. This story could have been written including more of the continuing characters. Punch Judy, Phishy, Chief Hub, anybody from Metropolis Police (the Coast Guard guys were just more cardboard cutouts), maybe a little Run Time coming to the rescue unexpectedly, someone else from a previous story. I don’t think he’d need to drop the new characters who are after all the heart of this story, just develop these new folks better and keep our other old friends in more. I hope Austin reads this review, because it’s not up to what I expect of him. He’s way better than this book shows. Please write us another Liquid Cool book soon, and bring it back up to what we’ve done to expect and be spoiled by, Austin Dragon.

    First, the standard disclaimer. I was provided a free copy of this book by the author about a year and a half ago. There was no expectation of a positive review by the author or further remuneration by me.
    With "Write Me a Murder on Jules Verne's Island," the ninth big case is under his belt (at least the ones Cruz has put stylus to tablet), we have another well-written tale by Austin Dragon. I don't believe reviewers should provide a synopsis of the book, that is the responsibility of the author.
    With that said, I cannot say much about the dystopian world Cruz finds himself in, but I can say Austin writes about it in an engrossing and exciting manner. The characters are fun to read, with Cruz being well developed, complex, and interesting. The story is fast-paced and action-filled, and the dialogue is consistent with the characters. All in all, it is a fast, fun read that sets the standard in the cyber-punk detective genre.

    I love private investigator Cruz! And the Cruz family is adorable. This side-story, cozy mystery in the Liquid Cool series is endearing and captivating, and I had so much fun reading, I was chuckling once and nervous the next! It’s such a fun read, with Cruz’s typical line of detective work, his witty thoughts and self responses, very entertaining and much guessing, sometimes I even forgot I was there for a murder investigation. Lol. The author has a knack to make it so riddled and confusing, creating an intriguing atmosphere. A complete and wonderful change from Cruz’s everyday life. I loved it! I’m looking forward to more Cruz family cyberpunk cozy mysteries, I hope there are more to come!
