    I really enjoyed this second book in the series that the two authors put out. They do a fantastic job of entertaining and an inner weaving the story. it has a little bit of cultivation but does not go overboard like a lot of these other books so therefore was a lot more enjoyable to me. There is lots of action and adventure and a little bit of intrigue as well. I like the interpersonal relationships between the characters and they are being developed quite nicely. the good guys and girls along with the bad guys and gals adds spice to the story. I also like the way the romance is developed and not done in a fake or hurried way. All in all of course I can't wait for the next book to come out in the series hope it comes soon.

    One of the things I like about this book; is that while it is a harem book and does have romance and erotic stories; the focus seems more about the bonds between the individuals. For one thing there is a strong male on male friendship between the two masculine protagonists that isn't toxic or based on jealousy and insecurity. None of the "Alpha male tolerate no other male" stuff that makes me feel like the heroes are overcompensating.

    I really do love the books and I can't wait for the 3rd. I would enjoy seeing the women get more expansive roles beyond the lead female of each group.

    I'd have liked a little more delving into why all of Alex's acquaintances from his former life act as they did, but there was enough there to whet the appetite for more.
