April isn't a new-to-me author, and I've loved every book of hers that I've read. This was no exception. It is very spicy short story. The steam is abundant, but Lexi and Noah's relationship was definitely a slow burn that had me frustrated in some instances. But, it is a novella and they do get a HEA in the end, so that's always a plus. Definitely recommend.

    What have I just read? New kink… unlocked and thank April Cross for sharing your dirty mind.
    This is 100% pure filth and actually a really decent plot considering the kink involved. So many hot panty melting scenes in every chapter. I really liked how Lexi showed all her vulnerable insecurities that we all have experienced.
    Noah is a hot breeding beast that is committed to his job.

    The story starts out with lexi, a desperate woman sleeping her way through men in her desperately awful attempts to get pregnant. Trying to have so much unprotected sex with men. She treats them so coldly and poorly when they decide to protect themselves, all because she is pushing on and is lonely. Then she meets noah, they hook up and she turns into a needy clinger, desperate and whiney and who apparently has no thoughts at all for her dead husband and is really very selfish and unattractive in behaviour and attitude and vanity. And a stage 5 clinger lexi is!! I actually didn't really like her character at all honestly.

    There is a large volume of degradation in this story which is not done in an endearing way at all like stated in the story. I really despise degredation of women. There's no warning for that in the book information so I was disappointed.

    And then... noah changes the dynamic. He loves her, and claims her and stops the nasty over the top degradation and turns this into a really hot sensual thing between them, but only for a short time and then just drops right back. Lexi is a clinger, a needy clinger who fell in love so easy but loves to be degraded and when noah goes away for a week she turns into a needy emotional dramatic mess.

    They try to get through the thought of not being together because he only wanted to breed her. Get her pregnant and that be the end of them. Things go wrong and emotionally distraught. But they get their HEA, you do end up routing for them, eventually though!!!

    Mating Lexi by April Cross is a Planned Pregnancy Agreement Erotic Romance. This story is told from the main females POV, no cliffhanger and a HEA.

    Lexi is a widow who has been using a dating app to have one night stands, trying to get pregnant and not telling the men she is sleeping with.

    Noah is the latest man she is going on a date with but he figures out what she wants and is on board with it and offers to sleep with her until she gets pregnant.

    The story was ok, and the characters had chemistry, but I didn’t care for how Lexi was “tricking” the men into fatherhood.

    I quite enjoyed the sex scenes but I did also get a bit annoyed with Noah always making her beg and at times when he said he was desperate to sink in to her he didn't he teased her that kinda bugged me but when he finally sunk inside! Wow. Otherwise I enjoyed the overall story.
