    A truly great book. It is deep, funny, and always has another surprise waiting around the corner. The only negative thing I can say about it is that I have to wait two months for the sequel. A unique world unlike any other that I've read in the genre. Give it a go and let the supreme and impressive power of Amarthine the Intriguing wash over you.

    I didn't have to get very far at all because everything is amateur. Grammar-wise, the tense keeps switching and is often mismatched within the same sentence. Character-wise, there's no combination of what the MC remembers versus what he forgets post-resurrection that makes sense to explain his behavior as a bumbling idiot. The attempts at humor in his inner monologue fall flat. I used free digital credits to pay for this book in its entirety and I feel ripped off.

    Yeah some jokes get repeated too much. Yeah, the MC's voice seems out of place for a while. And yes, he's totally held up by Deus ex machina.

    Sometimes, those things don't matter because what you are reading has you so engrossed.
