"Evenings in Aunt Jo’s garden always felt so enchanting. She made it a point to have the string lights lit for family dinners, and hints of water sounds serenely filled the background. No one knew how she did it, but the babbling sounds from the river deep behind the house always soothed each person at the table."

Kristen is a cozy paranormal mystery and new age author, coach, and creative. After years of doing project management and design, she now lets her air and water energies lead through creative fiction writing. She finds that a good dose of magic sets the coziest tone for any day. When not channeling her writing muse, Kristen spends time snuggling in her mountain home next to a cozy fire and her calico cat. She loves to lose herself in taking photos, baking for her family, and pulling tarot cards or charging crystals by the light of the moon.

I read “An Air of Deceit” along with my nine-year-old, and although I got more out of it than he did it was a great family read. The book is very cozy, helping us both get into the spirit of the fall season as the leaves turn colors and we start getting the jackets out for the walk down to school. The author’s descriptions of different foods are mouth-watering, and as a fan of other “magical” books I really appreciated the author’s ability to keep the characters grounded in reality while showing off their elemental powers.

Great read! Great intro to all the characters, can’t wait for the next one in the series.

“An Air of Deceit” (#1 in the Hollow’s Glen Mystery Series) is a perfect read for this autumnal season. I am in the spaces of the book with Autumn, Simone, and Jo as the days here get shorter and cooler, following them in Hollow’s Glen.
This book is mystical and spiritual and a truely COZY Mystery.

I liked this first book of the series and looking forward to the next one. This story felt like we were making it up as we go. For some that is enough, but for me, I need the story to be complete and yet move forward with each subsequent action. Yes, it sounds like the same thing to me as well and THAT is why I am not an accomplished story teller. There is a distinct difference and I don't have the words to tell you how. I just know this could have been a story that can set fires in imagination, so the potential is there. Perhaps the next book will have that revelation. I do, however recommend this book and I know that others will like it far more than I have.
