Rose has read her way through countless romances over the years, “borrowing” them from her older sisters, and hiding them from her mother (Mom didn't like the sexy book covers!)

She has a special love for Regency romances and when she began writing, the Regency period was a natural place to start. The ton, the wealthy families, the Season, the dilemmas, and yes, the marriages, have always fascinated her. She loves a happy ever after! Now she is happy to bring this passion to her stories and share it with her readers.

On a personal note, Rose lives in North Carolina, is married, and has a terrier that barks too much. She enjoys taking him for walks to tire him out!

This is the story of Viscount William Foster and Miss Alice Lawrence and how they help each other. Lord Foster wakes up one day with a headache and no fortune. He is not alone, 5 other of his friends have had the same thing happen to them. All are faced with a bleak future of poverty. William is very determined to regain his fortune, especially since the women he has planned to marry father has told him there will be no wedding. Miss Alice, a friend to the lady William is to marry, father has decided she will be a companion to her elderly aunt since she has not found a husband yet. She is not ready for this future and determined to marry. These situations bring the two of them together to help each other. To find out what happens you will need to get the book. I enjoyed this book very much and do recommend it. It is the first in a series of 6 books. I had read book 4 first and them this one and where it was not a problem, I think reading them in order would give better continuity to the overall story of the 6 gentlemen and their lost fortunes. Enjoy!

A good stand-alone book. This book is an introduction to the mishap that happens to several young lords of the ton. Each lord is in a similar situation but the cause is at different locations. The first victim is a young viscount who loses in an unfamiliar gambling den suggested by a "friend" and while he seems to be aware of what is happening; he has no control of the situation. Also now that he is in financial straights; his life plan has been turned upside down. Most of the ton has written him off as a wastrel and his soon to be engagement is cancelled. No seems to want to believe that the young viscount has been tricked nor is anyone ready to help him restore his fortune. There is one young woman who is willing to help him for a "price" and when the viscount agrees the adventure begins. Of course there's a happy ending for the newly put together couple and there's a hint of the next lord to try and restore his fortune. This book is well written. The storyline is very interesting. I received a digital copy of this book from this author and have given my honest opinion in this review.

A sweet book about lost fortunes, lost love but finding not only your way but with the person your supposed to spend the rest of your life with.
Lord Foster and his friends were drugged and duped of their fortunes but he will do anything to find the answers and his fortune. That includes agreeing to marry what he thought at first was a nobody, but boy was he wrong.

Lord Foster awakens from a nightmare only to realize it was not a nightmare… his fortune is gone along with his betrothal is also no more. How he finds his way back to his fortune and a hea is then revealed as the story progresses. Overall a nice read although it was difficult to understand the reasons behind Alice’s parents determination to make her a companion for am aunt?

Clean romance. Alice and William help each other. It starts as a practical arrangement but develops into a real romance and relationship. The reader needs to understand how honor and reputation are important to the gentlemen of the time. Honor can require a gentleman to pay a gambling debt before employees' wages, but employees must have their wages. The heart of Alice soars when she knows that she has love ❤ and marriage.

A night that he can not remember, a knot on his head and a letter to his man of business giving most of his fortune to an unknown Viscount. The fact that the six friends that he had gone out with that night are all in similar circumstances has made it even worse. When the person who recommended the gambling establishment turns up murdered the questions take a more sinister turn.

A read that was intriguing and full of suspense. The loss of the fortune was one part of the story and another was the treatment of the lady in the read. Could not put it down.

This is a Regency book with a difference. I really fell in love with the main characters of this book. The Viscount who was determined to retrieve his stolen fortune and his heroine who took the chance to help him in return for marriage. She was unloved by her family but bravely took the risk of poverty to secure a future for herself. In doing so they both found Love.

In theory the plot of this book isn’t too bad, but the writing is so stilted, the characters so formulaic and the pacing so poor that this is a very, very boring read.
