About Brina Brady

From the streets of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, where I ruled as the eldest of five siblings, my life’s journey has been an adventure. After marrying my partner, we started a family and welcomed three amazing daughters into our lives. In 1973, the waves called, and we answered—moving to the sun-kissed beaches of sunny Huntington Beach, California. It was a dream come true.

Later, I married my loving second husband, and when family called, we packed up and headed to Indiana. Retirement opened a new chapter for me, filled with the laughter of my four adorable grandchildren and the company of two sweet cats. It’s a life full of love and completed goals.

For twenty-seven years, I taught at a Continuation High School in Los Angeles, California, where I shared my passion for learning with my students. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Secondary Social Science Credential, and a master’s degree in Secondary Reading and Secondary Education from California State University, Long Beach. I also took creative writing classes at UCLA, which helped fuel my love for storytelling.

Speaking of storytelling, I’ve been hooked on it since I was a kid. As a child, I’d spend Saturday afternoons writing novels while sipping on my grandmother’s homemade, comforting chicken soup. Even as a busy stay-at-home mom, I made time to write every day—it was my escape and my joy. Later, while teaching, I kept writing, though the demands of the classroom meant I had less time to devote to it.

Today, I’m a contemporary romance author who loves writing LGBTQ+ stories. My books often explore complex relationships and emotional journeys, with several series diving into BDSM dynamics. I also write MM romance without BDSM themes, focusing on engaging plots, well-developed characters, and plenty of steamy moments.

When I’m not writing, I’m indulging in my other passions. I’m an avid reader, always getting lost in new worlds and characters. I also love graphic design, where I get to blend art and technology to create something beautiful. And when it’s time to relax, I’m hooked on Turkish TV series—their rich stories and cultural depth totally captivate me. Each of my hobbies reflects my love of creativity, storytelling, and exploring new horizons.

I like Brett but this story was confusing. Sean is toxic AF and Brett doesn’t need that in his life. He isn’t even a good friend. I didn’t like him at all. I hope to see more of Master Cleary and his boys though. Hopefully Brett will meet someone who actually cares and knows how to be a good Dom because Sean is NOT it.

Loved this book. Brett goes to a BDSM camp with Sean and really hopes Sean will collar him. Brett meets other people including Master Cleary and his 2 subs Kevin and Jack and starts to realize the he deserves better. Sean tries to jeopardize Bretts welfare and Brett figures out thst Sean does not care about him as he should. This is a great 1st entry into what is going to be another great series by Brina Brady. Plus it introduces us to Master Cleary and his boys. Another great story.

This novella is an introduction to a new Irish Collars series. Brett is a sub in search of a Dom who is attending a BDSM camp in Scotland with Dom friend, Sean, who is using him as a demo model, while stringing him along a potential collared sub. The characters were under-developed even for a novella and the plot fell flat. This prequel isn't engaging enough to entice me to continue with the series.

BDSM Camp is the prequel to the Irish Collar series so it feels a little unfinished. I felt very invested in Brett’s safety and happiness, and the way the novella ended left all that up in the air. It was a good start for the series because I am interested in the characters. Since Broken Trust, the first book in the Irish Collar series isn’t on Audible yet, I’m going to go back and listen to the Irish Runaway Series bundle since the Irish Runaway series is connected to the Irish Collar series.

The audiobook narration was well done and enjoyable. I was able to finish the book in an afternoon and enjoyed listening to it.

Arc review - This is a honest review. BDSM Camp - Irish Collar Series. I read a handful of pages and wanted to just stop reading it, I read a little more & same thing, just wanted to close the book. All Brett wanted was a Dom, he didn't care how he was treated. He goes to the Bdsm camp with Sean who is a Dom and helped Brett out in the past. Sean is only nice to Brett to get what he wants & promises him a collar. Again, Brett knows Sean is lying but doesn't care. I figured it wasn't a long book so I'd keep reading, now I'm waiting for the next book.

enjoyed this book quite a bit. I enjoyed seeing characters from another series but you don't have to have read those previous books in order to enjoy this one. I look forward to reading more in this series. I don't like to give out spoilers and there isn't a lot more I can say other than what is in the blurb without doin so.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Brett and Sean attend a BDSM Camp where Brett is going to be Sean’s sub. Unfortunately Sean has other plans for Brett. Brett wants a Dom of his own, so doesn’t realize what Sean is up too. You meet up with Master Cleary from the Irish Runaway Series. The book ends on a cliffhanger and a happy for now ending with quite a few questions. Overall worth getting this and future books to see what happens.

I would have been shouting at the TV nonstop if this had been a TV film.
But seeing as it was a book and the characters couldn't hear me, I kept quiet. But I needed Sean to back off and leave Brett alone, and I wanted Brett to run away.

The writing was so good that I got ever so emotional over and over again. This is the seedier side of BDSM with pretend Doms who don't mind endangering their subs, but we also meet Master Cleary again. If you've read Brina's back catalogue, you will have met Master Cleary and his boys, again a brilliant book if you haven't read it.

I can't wait to read the rest of this series.
