    “Before Cate: John’s Story” answers a lot of question that as a reader you might have had at the end of “Cat Haus parts 1-3” This is a very sexy, steamy read. The scenes are intense, the characters are well written, and the story is wonderful.
    In this book you learn who John is. Where he’s come from. He’s a very strong man who has gone through a tragic event in his adult life. He’s someone who doesn’t play around. He’s respected by others. He’s a man who protects what he wants. He’s a one women man who has good morals. Which makes the story interesting since he has fallen for a “Hooker”, who is also a very strong woman. He doesn’t like the choice of career that Cate has chosen and John’s POV shows the struggles that he goes through with the situation he finds himself in. This makes John even more “real” to me.
    I would highly recommend this book to anyone. However read “Cat Haus parts 1-3” before you read “Before Cate: John’s Story”

    I loved both books! Couldn't put Cat Haus down. Of course there were lots of questions at the end of the first book, and Before Cate filled in many of them. Definitely must read both! I was glad that I got them when I did, because I see that they are not available in ebook anymore for some reason. Puzzling. Anyway, buy them both, you will be so glad you did!

    This story goes side by side with Cathause, everything happens at the same time only from John's view. Of course all those little mysteries that cropped up in book one, are now explained, padding the story this time out a bit.

    I found John to be a 'people pleaser'. Not at all the hard headed businessman who runs a huge successful construction company. what we did see was his vulnerable side when he met Cate.

    I know this book wasn't about Gus, but I would really have liked just a paragraph on what happened to him after he lost his buisness.
