Recently, I was blessed to live in Indiana, a state I shared with many Amish communities. I found the best spices, hot cereal, and good cooking advice at an Amish store not too far away. I've also lived in Honduras and Grand Cayman. Presently, I live in Costa Rica. One of my favorite activities is exploring other cultures. My husband, Paul, and I have two grown children and six precious grandchildren. I love to hole up in our cabin and write -- often with a batch of popcorn nearby. (Oh, and did I mention dark chocolate?) I can often be found walking the beaches of Costa Rica.

    I know I couldn't live underneath the Amish men's control for a second. It would be hard to.just walk away from your children because they married outside of the harsh rules all the Amish are required to live and obey. This book was interesting from the first page. I can see why more leave what some believe is nothing but a Cult.

    My reviews are vague, so as not to spoil the stories.
    This book has 2 young Amish women who are both struggling with conflicts in their lives. Fortunately, they are best friends and they have each other to confide in.
    The book is a quick read, and one you won’t want to put down.
    I deducted 1 star for grammar and editing errors. Examples of errors include Mark being called Jacob and “that” used in place of “than.” Without errors, I would give this book 5 stars.

    I've been reading Amish stories for years now and have become disappointed with the same story line. While I like them, you can already anticipate the conclusion. This is not the same Amish romance story. The story addresses legitimate issues and the need for compromise. I liked the way the situations were handled.
