4.5⭐️ 4🌶️ The way you love me is the greatest gift I’ve ever been given. -Alina Van Helsing The final book in a series is always bittersweet — saying goodbye to beloved characters that I have become quite attached to isn’t easy, but I also want them to have an amazing happy ending! And wow — RL Caulder gave Alina and her men such a sweet ending! Book 4 picked up right where Bite of Vengeance left off — Alina has discovered who was involved in the death of her entire family and her and her mates are in a race to save a dear friend. We have definitely been introduced to other supernatural creatures since Alina, Andrei, and Lincoln were all at DIA, but this is the first time the crew has ventured outside of DIA or Sanguis, the land of vampires — and it’s to head into the witch territory to find an antidote. They definitely find a lot more than they bargained for! Once Alina’s focus returns to the death of her family she has to decide what she really wants: vengeance or justice? Does she want to further the divide between slayers and vampires or bridge the gap? Her mates are absolutely the most adorable, sweetest caretakers while she goes through some tough emotional soul searching and personal growth. Our girl somehow comes out even more of a badass, didn’t know it was possible! I absolutely adore her men — fiercely protective, compassionate, loyal, and ummm let’s just say smoking hot in the bedroom, shower, gym… anywhere. I love that they have come not only to cherish their bond with Alina but with each other. Our love is one that that will follow us beyond this life and into the next, because it’s a love so great it can’t possibly be explored and felt to the deepest extent in just one lifetime. -Alina Van Helsing

    I was happy to see Alina and her guys get the happy ending They deserved after all they’ve been through throughout the series. Honestly, I feel like the author did a good job wrapping everything up nicely. There is something that I still wish would’ve been addressed but other than that, I would say it was good ending. Alina finally opened up to the grief she was feeling, and it was good seeing how she were not on her guys to be there for her to up, but also have a guys were there for her and allowed her to grieve in peace.

    This series was a great read! It put a completely different spin on the Van Helsing versus Dracula lure and the author does an amazing job of taking you through all the emotions felt by the characters from each of their perspectives. It’s filled with Love, reverse harem, action, death betrayal, spice, the works. It accurately paces the characters, emotional mental, and even traumatic moments throughout the entire novel, and it is unlike a lot of other novels that set an unrealistic even for fiction fantasy novel, standard of dealing with traumatic situations. There were plenty of spicy scenes that fit very well within the story like they weren’t awkwardly placed in a random places throughout the novel they were placed where they were supposed to be. I read this entire series within a matter of days. I would’ve finished the entire series within maybe a day or two if my schedule didn’t mess it up.

    Although it was spread out between four books, to me, in my opinion, it really should have been only one book. Maybe you could stretch it out to two books, but this series really didn’t need to be a full book series. This was my only “issue” with the series it’s not enough to drop the rating past five though. it’s literally one novel that was split between multiple books and and I’m not sure if it was just so that the author could make more money or just a production decision either way it didn’t really make sense to me to do that. New book literally just starts or continues from where the period the previous book ended so it was literally just a full continuation of the same book.

    I’d recommend this series to anyone who loves a good action, failed, spicy, vampire, romance novel, even if that’s not your typical cuppa tea I would still recommend it. It’s a very good series.
    I’m looking forward to Reading more of this author’s books.

    I started with R. L. Caulder with the AMA’s story which I loved.

    This one had a lot of the same elements and took on the academy intro in that first series epilogue.

    I guess my issues were everything was just too easy. Fmc control, the love stories, the villains, fights, conclusions.

    There really wasn’t enough strife and conflict to make this feel believable and well rounded.

    It wasn’t bad, it was a quick read I just wish for more development of characters, plot, and world.

    I'm trying to find the words to describe this book. It was everything and more and then some. I absolutely love Alina and her boys. I am so so sad and a little heartbroken that this is their last book.

    I cried through half the book. Grab some tissues because your gonna need them. Bite of Justice hits on a deeper level. It absolutely wrecked me. Its so much deeper than Alina getting her justice for her family. It's about facing your grief and pain and letting it out and working through it. It's okay to break and let down your walls down and to rely on those who love you to hold you through it. This hit me hard because it's something I myself struggle with on a daily basis.

    The beginning picks up where we left off. Everyone is on the clock racing to find the antidote to save Lo. (There's a little surprise in store there for one of our characters and I loved it.) Alina and her boys are on mission after mission. Drake, Andrei and Lincoln finally step in to make her take a break because she is running her self ragged and not taking the time to take care of herself. There's a lot of emotional turmoil and Alina struggles to get through it. Like a phoenix she rises from the ashes and knows what she needs to do.

    I love the ending because it wasn't exactly what I expected. It was so so much more. Alina wants to make the world a better place and through sheer determination and strong will she sets out to make it happen and brings justice along the way. All the loose ends tied up better than we could have imagined. It's a beautiful ending to one of the best series I've ever read and the steam is off the charts.🔥

    I highly recommend this book and series. You won't be disappointed!

    Alina got a double hit at the end of the last book (Bite of Vengeance), where she learned who was involved with the slaughter of her family, and Lo sick and dying. This picks up with the group rushing to find the cure to save her friend’s life.
    I’ll admit it had me worried that Alina was going to rush into things without taking time to consider the ramifications of her actions; I was relieved when her guys finally made her see that she HAD to take some time for herself and come to terms with everything that she’s been through.
    I loved the way this author split everything into (basically) categories (save a life, come to terms, have a closer bond with her men, ect) and still managed to show the love and growth between Alina, Lincoln, Drake and Andrei build throughout the entire book.
    And the ending wasn’t a fix-all to everyone’s problem (which can sometimes come off as rushed and too perfect.), you could tell that there were still going to be difficulties to come but nothing that couldn’t be handled.
    I definitely recommend this series to any who haven’t yet had the chance to read it. Best part is that the series is finished so you don’t have to deal with the wait for the next installment lol. Trust me: drives me crazy but sometimes I can’t help myself!
