Purchase options and add-ons
A pair of hunters with hidden secrets
A fateful choice of who to trust…
The young cowboy Teer has joined the rogue El-Spehari demigod Kard in his work as a bounty hunter. Both have powers they conceal, but they are determined to guard the people of the Unity’s Eastern Territories.
When a favored servant of the Unity’s Spehari ruler is beaten and left for dead, the two bounty hunters are hired to track the attacker into the wilderness. The Unity has betrayed them both, but they still believe in justice.
Capturing the fugitive is only the first step. Teer faces a harsh question: when a beautiful young woman begs for protection, what is more important—her crimes…or why she committed them?

- Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2020I both received an ARC and bought the Patreon copy of this book prior to downloading it on Amazon. I'm supposed to give an unbiased review in return for the free copy...which I would do anyway, because I'm not a dishonest person.
That being said...there's a reason I got a free copy and, once again, paid for a copy. Glynn is really quite a talented writer. He can make you love his characters no matter what faults they have. The plots are always interesting and there aren't obvious loopholes.
This second book featuring Teer and Kard is another very well executed book. We learn enough more about both of the main characters to keep us satisfied yet you know there is much left to explore in their world. It hasn't quite turned into an epic tale yet, characters are still being introduced, but you can feel something big is going to happen.
I love that it feels like the old west but also still feels like fantasy (being set on a different world with magic AND guns and horses will do that).
Can't wait for the next one!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2021The Teer&Kard stories are a new mix of human and aliens, set in a roughly wild west tech world, Not Earth. Bounty hunters with morals, this time their quarry is wanted for defending her life against a minion of the dominant Spehari. Rousing action with a real western feel. A short novel, Stewart crams lots of adventure and character in. But each yarn so far feels more like an episode with more to come. But the sequels are slow to come.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2022I just read the 2nd book inthe series and I’m looking forw.ard to the next one, Very good world building and back story. I like the open questions on who Kard is and his role in the revolution.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2021I'm not really into westerners but I like Glynn's work. I finally got around to reading this and Wardtown. Good read but I feel like the timeline doesn't track right between the two books. It reads like this picks up a few days after wardtown ends but in some instances characters act as if it has been much longer. The story tracks as if this is only Teers second bounty which fits how the story feels which would imply that any time between the two books would have passed in the town. This fits since Kard and Teer are in the same hotel and looking for work. On the other hand they kept two horses as packhorses at the end of the first book and didn't leave town with them though that might have just been because they were expecting to be back fast and left them at the inns stables. More glaring to me though was that they were given enough stew packs by steers mother to last half a season which to my mind would be at least 30-40 days in the wild but have gone through them all despite spending most of not all the time between the books at an in.
This doesn't detract from the book it was a good read but it bothered me the whole time I was reading it.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2021I think this author is among the top tier af authors who allow thier works to be offered through amazon. Also, I find this current series to be interesting and enjoyable. But, I am disappointed with this 2nd book in this series as it appears to be more of a filler and incomplete. It is short and suddenly ends in what appears to be the middle of the current story.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2022This is a very enjoyable ScFi western. Fully developed characters warts and all. I hope we will get more in this series, I need to learn more about Teer an his powers and of Kard's past.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2020This series has the potential to be something great and different. Think sci fi/fantasy/magic blended with western. Having said that, the decision to release it in ultra short vignettes is irritating. Just as you are starting to settle in, it just stops. Note to self, wait for the next 10 episodes to be released before continuing to read.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2020Good story, well writen and we are starting to learn more about Teer and Kard. . I'm hoping for more of these two and the wild west space aliens world Glynn Stewart has created. The book was not long enough. I was totally into the syrory, fully prepared to postpone diner and it ended. Eagerly awaiting book three. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars More Magic & Cowboys!
Blood Ward is the second book in the Teer & Kard series. The setting is an interesting mix of cowboys and magic with possible post-apocalyptic undertones. The book continues where the first one finished and takes the story along nicely, further developing the main characters, Teer and Kard. I like Glynn Stewart’s writing style and for me he provides a good mix between pace and narrative depth. I’m enjoying the series, liked this book and look forward to the next.
Note: I received a free electronic copy in exchange for an unbiased review (but liked it enough to buy a copy anyway)

5.0 out of 5 stars Keen for the next Wild West meets Mysterious Magic
I enjoyed this Blood Ward which followed on where Wardtown (Teer & Kard Book 1) left off. Stewart's engrossing storytelling continues with a stay in a typical frontier town, a familiar Wild West horseback road trip chasing a fugitive across country, the inevitable shoot outs and of course some magical battles revealing a few more of our 2 MC's mysterious abilities. My main regret is that there is not yet another story in this saga, however I remain hopeful that one is in the works :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read
Great read. Can’t wait for book 3 of the series and more stories about Teer and Karn, and where does Lora fit in?

5.0 out of 5 stars Teer & Kard Books 1 & 2
Shades of Firefly sans Serenity, space and technology. Wild West plus magic. Three moons means not Earth, but everything else shrieks 19th century Midwest, except the magic. Merik = America for sure but little else obviously borrowed from history or known mythology, so full marks for originality.
Book 3, hopefully forthcoming.

A great start to what will hopefully develop into a series. So many stories waiting to be told. About Teer and Kard.
