- Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2025Loved this book. Can't wait to delve into this world. I'm very excited to learn more and meet more characters.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2024It's bogey not boogey. Hahaha!
I loved the sweet and mysterious Bogeyman. The hiding in the shadows to keep an eye on him. Or the hiding in the closet to show his love, but ends up scaring him. Ha!
The detail is a tad rushed in this one compared to the others. Yes, I'm aware it's a novella. But I still wanted a bit more. It was still beautifully done as always, though.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2024M/M, new relationship, explicit. I really enjoyed the characters in this story. The bogeyman race was developed well. I really liked Archer's choice of an unusual race. This was a sweet little introduction to the series and set up the next book well.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2023I really enjoyed the book. However, it was far more shorter read then I was expecting. I really like the series, however.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2024This was a well written sweet read. Emrys Bogey was the sweetest bogeyman ever. I loved how everyone was cheering him and Jayden on. I hope that Agatha gets a book as well.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2023This book is rather sweet and cute. Emrys is the principal for the school where Jayden is the newest teacher and has been interested in dating Jayden for a while. Emrys is a beatifully awkward cinnamon roll of a bogeyman and is so beyond adorable. The humor is spot on the relationship is a bit fast but it's not too much considering the characters have known each other for a while already. The only thing I would want is more about the characters. More with their history before meeting and them after up to this point. The other side characters are fantastic and I hope there is more with them as the series progresses and really want more with Emrys and Jayden. This is one of those novellas that gives the reader just enough of a taste that they want more because the characters or setting are great.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2024Any story with a fanged love interest that gives marking bites is alright with me! This one was so tragically cute, but I did read it out of order unfortunately. But its not a disappointment, just more of a behind the scenes kinda thing, what happened before, during, and after the events in the book that I read. I’m still loving this whole world dynamic, and I can’t wait for the gargoyle book to be done. Can’t get enough, id really like to read a story in this universe that involves a werewolf finding a mate. I feel like Mystic Hollow is missing werewolves
- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2023Not only is this book so cute for the season but I want a bogeyman of my own!!! I cannot get over how sweet this characters are and the school setting makes it even cuter! Short novellas are normally not my jam because I'm just left feeling like everything was in a rush but Chloe nailed the timing on this one it was just enough story short and sweet in a good way with of course some steamy bits brought in. You won't have a problem finishing this in one sitting just a problem wishing all the characters had stories you could read now too! First time I have ever had a book hangover from a short novella. Loved the breaking of the expected for their personalities and just love them. Final note the sweater... I just need that in a store somewhere hahaha!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Touching Story.
This is an adorable tale of different species coming together. In a town of monsters, happy, friendly monsters of all kinds, one human lives happily. Emrys, the Bogeyman and also the school principle, never believed he stood a chance with Jayden, the new human teacher, little did he know he wasn't the only one pining for love. A lovely, sweet tale, a great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet read a nice novella
Emerys is a bogeyman who care about his pupils this is their designation and has recently taken on Jayden as a school teacher and they both are so smitten with each other and it’s Jayden that takes the next step to date each other and start to fall in love an adorable read

5.0 out of 5 stars So sweet, all fluff no angst
Sometimes you need a love story with no obstacles, no angst, no unnecessary drama, and this is exactly what I needed. It was just so sweet seeing a human teacher and a bogeyman principal navigating first dates with questionable fashion choices, getting to know one another and finding a way to build something lasting together. Really sweet!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Short Story
This is a fluff-filled short story, good for an afternoon read. The town is interesting and unique. I liked reading about the authors world building and other monster species. There is no conflict in this story, just cute lovey-dovey bliss.
