Bright Sunshine and Melancholy Dreams Kindle Edition

5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars 1 rating

Bright Sunshine and Melancholy Dreams is a collection of poems that explore the highs and lows of heart, mind, and soul. These poems flow through the day beginning with the darkness of midnight giving way to the hope that comes with the breaking of light at dawn. Then, they move into the uncertainty of sunshine or storms at noon, before concluding with twilight peace in the evening. In this collection, you will find musings in the form of free verse, Haiku, rhyming meters, and more. Wake from your melancholy dreams and step into the bright sunshine!

Michael Bergman loves reading a good story and he enjoys writing them, too. Drawing on his eclectic background that includes world travels, meteorology, theology, and foster parenting, he writes stories for adults and children about life, love, faith, self-discovery, and exploring the stars.

His stories have won awards in the Writer's Digest Annual Writing Competition. Two of which, "The Perfect Man" and "The Weatherman", are featured in his first book Of Stars and Space.

He lives in Missouri with his wife, son, foster children, and cat of many names (but mostly just known as "Cat").

Top review from the United States

This poetry collection encapsulates so many gentle moments. There are hard moments to, and sad moments, but they all point to sun shine.

Psyche’s Crumbling Prison
Land of Dawn
Invading Light
A Safe Space
Are are poems I highlighted to.come back to.
"Where seeker and sought
Dance 'neath love’s face" -from A Safe Space-

There is gentleness in every line and I enjoyed the read spread out over several evenings.
