Praise for From the Wreckage. Available now ~ mybook.to/ftw

It was a beautiful written story that had so much meaning behind it. It deserves so much more than five stars, this story will pull you in from the very beginning right up till the ending. You'll laugh, cry, and do it all over again this book will pull at your heart.
~ Angela, Swoonworthy Books
I LOVED Grace and David so freaking much. I loved them individually as giving, grounded, fantastic human beings, and I loved them together--flirty and tender and scorching hot. Ms. Collins got the perfect relationship formula just right. Then she put my heart through a shredder before somehow healing it, soothing it, and making it overflow with happiness.
~ Shelly, Give Me Books
I fell back in love with the idea of "true love". Grace and David have just that, "true love". Given the battle and nature of their coming together you have no choice but to get lost in the story or in my case the stories within the story.

Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it's been a dream.

Her passion for writing didn't start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn't long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa's brain and The Love Series was born.

First of all let me start by saying this book is not for the faint of heart, it involves a lot of heart wrenching , gut tearing real life happenings that will make the strongest of strong brake down in tears.

Princess Al- Saud teams up with author Jean Sasson and let's the reader in on every single detail of life in Saudi Arabia as a woman. It's a hard life , there are no nice days, no good things, no understanding from the male race at all, only the hope that someone will take pity and help you get out of the everyday hell.

Ladies , take a moment and think about how easy your life is when you get up in the morning, you can wear what you want, eat what you want, drive to work, go to school, become whatever you want to, and there is not such thing as having the fear of giving birth to a girl and then because your husband wants to avoid any embarrassment befalling the family name , he goes out to the desert and buries the child in the sand and you never see her alive again, there simply are no basic human rights for any of the woman in Saudi Arabia.

The author and Princess take you through the lives of the woman who suffer at the hands of men and the absolute disgraceful manner of having to be told to not this and to this and that each day of their lives. Such as the story , which I will tell you will forever remain in my mind- of the abandoned mother of twin girls , alone , desperate and at the end of her rope, she was rescued by the Princess and now has a life of her own , and best of all she lives in safety with her family.

Many innocent woman's stories are discussed and dissected and really puts the reader at the front row, I felt every emotion, cried every single tear with these woman and felt my heart rejoice for those who make it out but my heart also shattered for those that simply are not as lucky.

As I said this book is not for the faint of heart, but if you want to know what life is really like for other woman, or if you feel your life is miserable , then read this book you will find that your life is not half as bad as the lives of these woman , trapped in an endless battle of being ruled but those who they cannot fight.

    My Quickie Review:

This isn't something that you'll probably want to read without planning to read the book, From the Wreckage, after it. (At the time of writing this review, I haven't yet read that book, but I plan to.) This is a novella and definitely not the complete story. It's just a great way to give more of the background of what happened between Grace and David and where they each are now.

Grace and David haven't seen one another since the night he saved her life from a fire. They were just kids that night 18 years ago. Now they're adults, but thoughts of the other still plague both of them. This is a great little novella setting up for the real story and I, for one, am excited about the possibilities for where this story may go. Seriously, a hot firefighter...I'm there.

This is just a tease for the setup to the next book. Now got to get the FROM THE WRECKAGE now to see what the Hell happens

I read Before the Weeckage when it was part of a collection of short stories called ONE. I purchased that collection specifically for Before the Wreckage. Melissa Collins is one of my go-to authors where I read everything that she writes, and I always LOVE it! Before the Wreckage fit that bill!

BEfore the Wreckage is a short story which introduces the characters in Collins' next book, From the Wreckage. Grace and David haven't seen each other since they were children, but have continued to think about each other over the years. Until they run into each other.

Seriously, as a teaser, this book was awesome! As much as I had already wanted to read From the Wreckage, Before the Wreckage added just enough to make me anxious for the next one. Looking forward to reading!

I didn't purchase this book individually (it wasn't offered at the time, and as I said earlier, Melissa Collins is an author that I always buy), but did purchase it as part of a collection.

I read this as part of the ONE anthology, but I read it again in anticipation of From the Wreckage.

Grace and David are both out celebrating, Grace for obtaining her teaching degree and David for fighting fires. They've met before, years ago when David saved Grace from a fire. They both still dream of the other, and wonder if they'll ever see the other again. This was the teaser prequel to From the Wreckage, and I can't wait to read more.

Before the Wreckage by Melissa Collins

This a cute little prequel to my next read. I am not usually a big fan of erotica, but I tolerate it when the story is good. This prequel teases a good story and I like the characters already. Moving on...

I LOVED this little taste of whats to come in From the Wreckage!

This book is really short, as it is a preview and a small piece of the larger story, but it is FANTASTIC and makes you so excited for whats to come!

Can't wait to read From the Wreckage for the full story of David and Grace!

I read From the Wreckage and loved it so I needed to read this story to get more of David and Grace. It was a great short story that saw David and Grace as they were thinking about each other but before they saw each other again. It is a great beginning before From the wreckage. I highly recommend both books.
