Dr. Stephanie Owens is a transformational educational leader, entrepreneur , owner of businesses, and former teen-age mother. Born in rural Crescent City, Florida. She had dreams of becoming an author. She began writing as an adolescent due to her lack of confidence and low self-esteem. She believed her dark skin, nappy hair, and buck teeth made her unattractive and unworthy of the attention of others .
