M.E. Montgomery can’t remember a time she hasn’t had at least one book on the go. After years of falling headfirst into the lives and loves of other characters, M.E. decided to write her own novel. She enjoys creating the kind of realistic storybook friends you could actually meet somewhere, and sometimes she finds herself wondering what those characters are up to once she’s delivered their happily ever after.

She’s married to her best friend and has four children and two Boxer dogs. They live wherever the Navy sends her husband, usually the East coast of the U.S., but also once in Japan.

Whenever she’s not writing or substitute teaching, she often ponders the riddle of how the kitchen sink appears to automatically refill with dirty dishes as soon as her back is turned. On the occasions it stays empty, you can find her with a glass of wine or Scotch outside at their fireplace or curled up inside with a book, binge watching TV, or chatting with readers.

This book was BEAUTIFUL 😭😭 I loved it so much. I loved how close and supportive everyone in the town was. The support system Cameron had with her family was so amazing. They also took in Mac and made him part of the family. Seeing how everyone moved to help each other without hesitation had me crying. Cam and Mac are amazing characters. Loved seeing how much they both grew through the book. Watching Cam finally start letting go of the past and embracing the future when it comes to her business had me so proud. She was always a baddie but she became so much more than that. Mac always kept to himself and seeing him little by little let people in had me wanting to give him a huge hug. He's someone that's sacrificed so much for his brother and seeing him live a little was truly amazing. Them together was 🤌. The banter, the sweetness, the chemistry and most importantly the way they believed in each others work had me swooning. The book had the perfect sweet home town feel. The author wrote it in a way that i felt like I was part of the family. I would read a book about each of the side characters if I could. "I’d built a lot of houses for a living, but thanks to Cam, I finally knew what “home” should feel like." HE IS SO PRECIOUS I CANNOT HANDLE THIS

    Cam is determined to honor her grandfather by ensuring that his construction business lives on however the transition has been more difficult than she anticipated. She needs to ensure that people believe the company is stronger than ever and decides the perfect way to prove that is to take part in a reality construction show but convincing Mac, one of her employees, is easier said than done.

    Mac is a private man who isn’t open to sharing his past or the family turmoil he is still going through. The financial payout if they will win will go a long way to easing the burden he is experiencing however developing feelings for Cam wasn’t part of the problem and that is when the complications really begin.

    Cam and Mac are exactly what the other needs in their life. They are both going through a difficult time which causes some conflict, but they are so much stronger together than apart.

    I loved this book. It was original and so endearing. I loved this couple and both of their families. Mac was as loyal as they came but so was Cam. This dynamic duo will take you on a whirlwind of emotions.

    Dare I say that Cam and Mac's story is my favorite one in the Sterling Mill so far? I love the dynamics between these main characters. There's a certain zing--albeit not the undead kind ala Hotel Transylvania--that makes the back and forth so darn entertaining. Seeing them finally giving into that attraction was gratifying, and while the happily-ever-part was a given, the journey getting there wasn't necessarily easy for Cam and Mac. (Side note: Is it weird that I love that their nicknames are palindromes?) Aside from the romance, I also liked the aspect of family, especially with regards to Mac and his older brother, Trey, and how Cam honored her grandfather's legacy while also paving her own way. I appreciated where M.E. Montgomery took Cam and Mac's story, giving them an HEA that they deserved and was very much "them". I'm giving Call It Home five stars, and I can't wait for our return visit to Sterling Mill, Tennessee.

    Montgomery has written a beautiful love story. I absolutely love the characters of Sterling Mill. They are starting to feel like some of my best friends. An entertaining romance that will have you flipping the pages to see how this story ends.

    Cameron Allen owner of Sterling Mills needs the help from an employee Mac Caldwell. The thing is…he does not want to help her out. Cam may have entered them into a tv show that could really help out the small town Construction company. Even though Max doesn’t really want to help, he does for Cam. These two are hilarious together. Opposites who aggravate each other but as time goes on…these two end up getting close. But things don’t always end up how they should.

    We go along a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions, we follow along as these two navigate their new normal together. This book has everything a romance reader loves and more.

    Highly recommended.

    The premise of this story is fun and different, so it really drew me. Cam is running her grandfather’s construction business and they need more work. She signs up for a reality reno show to put Sterling Construction out there and draw attention to her company. The only problem is that she needs a partner and there’s only one person on the crew who will do: Mac. He’d never agree to go, which is why she doesn’t ask him or even mention that she signed them up for the show until they’re chosen to compete. Mac is less than thrilled since he’s dealing with a lot of complicated family stuff and tends to keep to himself. It’s just easier that way, since his past will change people’s opinions of him. The last thing he wants to do is be on a reality TV show, but he begrudgingly agrees because his share of the cash prize would make life a lot easier.

    Soon they’re alone together in Colorado and the physical attraction they’ve easily ignored until now boils over in such close quarters. They’re both surprised to realize it’s not just physical and they genuinely like one another. By day they’re working to win the contest so they’re all business, but by night they’re hungry for one another. They’re having a great time, until life gets in the way. They both have opportunities and obligations to balance, but his and hers are too drastically different to make this work. Or are they? This is a fun read with a varied cast of characters in quirky small town and I really enjoyed it.

    Another great book in the series. Now I'm not a huge fan of reality tv, but home renovations are pretty interesting. Cam convinces Mac to team up with her to compete in one. Now these two don't always see eye to eye, but being forced together they see one another in a whole new light. They have great chemistry and banter. It's not too long before why Sterling Mill is so great. This book shows why I love this series so much. Sterling Mill may be a little quirky, but they really show the love in this one. A big family they are. I loved the work Mac does. By the descriptions the custom work sounds beautiful . This is a book you don't want to miss. I can't wait to go back to Sterling Mill again!
